🧭 What to Expect

Designed for comfort and practical cruising, this Bavaria Cruiser 42 offers generous onboard space combined with easy handling and modern sailing performance. The bright saloon, spacious deck areas and fully equipped galley make the yacht well suited to everything from shorter sailing breaks to longer coastal holidays exploring the Solent and surrounding waters.

Bareboat charters allow experienced skippers to enjoy the freedom of planning their own itinerary and pace, while skippered options provide additional support for those newer to sailing or wanting a more relaxed experience onboard. Guests can choose to take an active role in sailing the yacht or simply enjoy the scenery and time on the water while the skipper manages navigation and boat handling.

Flexible itineraries allow trips to include relaxed harbour hopping, overnight cruising, confidence-building sailing experiences or longer coastal adventures. Taster weekends are also available for guests interested in trying sailing before committing to an extended charter.

📍 Location

Charters operate throughout the Solent and surrounding south coast cruising areas, offering access to rivers, marinas, anchorages and popular sailing destinations within one of the UK’s best-known sailing regions. The area provides varied sailing conditions suitable for both experienced sailors and those newer to cruising yachts.

Departures are generally arranged from Hamble Point Marina in Southampton, although alternative arrangements may sometimes be possible depending on the itinerary and charter duration. Final departure details are confirmed during booking.

✅ Prerequisites

Bareboat charter requires RYA Coastal Skipper or an equivalent recognised qualification along with recent experience handling yachts of a similar size in coastal waters. Skippers should feel confident with navigation, tides, marina manoeuvres and safe yacht operation.

No previous sailing qualifications are required for skippered charters. These options are suitable for beginners, returning sailors and guests wanting additional guidance or confidence while onboard.
