Set against the dramatic cliffs of Amalfi, this private cruise aboard the Jeranto 9 focuses on pace, comfort, and choice. The boat’s open layout and shaded areas suit a full day on the water, whether you prefer steady coastal cruising or regular stops to swim and relax. With the skipper adapting the plan as the day unfolds, the experience feels unhurried and personal rather than fixed or rushed.
Meeting takes place at Amalfi harbour, where the skipper will welcome you and guide you down to the boat before departure. Once on board, there’s time to settle in, store belongings, and discuss the chosen route. From Amalfi, the Jeranto 9 follows the coastline either north towards Capri or along the Amalfi Coast in the direction of Positano, depending on the option selected at booking.
Throughout the day, the skipper balances cruising time with stops in suitable areas for swimming and snorkelling. These locations are chosen based on sea conditions, giving you the chance to enter the water directly from the boat or remain on deck enjoying the views with a drink. Shaded seating and open sun areas make it easy to switch between relaxing and soaking up the surroundings.
If Positano is part of your route, time ashore can be arranged on request, allowing you to explore independently before returning to the boat. The final leg of the trip brings you back to Amalfi at a comfortable pace, rounding off a day that combines coastline scenery, time at sea, and flexibility without feeling over-structured.
Amalfi harbour sits at the heart of the town, directly below the historic centre and cathedral. The area is lively, with cafés, small shops, and restaurants lining the waterfront, making it easy to arrive early or plan something after returning from the boat.
Access to the port is straightforward on foot from most central accommodation, while taxis and ferries also connect Amalfi with neighbouring towns. Its position along the coast makes it a practical starting point for routes both towards Capri and along the Amalfi shoreline.
Guests should be comfortable spending several hours on a boat and able to step on and off with minimal assistance. The deck layout allows for easy movement, but boarding is from the harbour rather than a beach.
No prior boating knowledge is needed, as navigation and safety are fully managed by the skipper. Anyone with specific mobility concerns or medical conditions should consider whether swimming stops and time on deck will be suitable.
Attention is placed on keeping the day adaptable rather than following a rigid schedule, allowing the route and stops to suit conditions and guest preferences. This approach gives more freedom to linger where you’re enjoying yourself and move on when ready.
Well-kept boats and experienced skippers contribute to a calm, organised experience that prioritises comfort and safety without overcomplicating the plan.
From Amalfi, you can choose to cruise to Capri and return, or head along the coast towards Positano before coming back to Amalfi. The selected option determines the overall direction of travel for the day.
Within that route, the skipper can still adjust swimming stops and pacing depending on sea conditions and how you’d like to spend your time.
No, the Jeranto 9 is reserved exclusively for your group. Only your party and the skipper will be on board, ensuring privacy throughout the experience.
This also means onboard time, swimming stops, and any time ashore are organised solely around your preferences.
The overall duration is fixed, but how that time is used is flexible. You can spend longer swimming, cruising, or relaxing on deck, provided conditions allow.
If you choose to stop ashore in Positano, the skipper will advise on timing so the return to Amalfi remains smooth.
Swimming and snorkelling are planned whenever sea and weather conditions are suitable. The skipper selects calmer areas that allow safe access to the water directly from the boat.
If conditions change, alternatives may be suggested, or more time may be spent cruising instead.
Children are welcome on board and often enjoy the swimming and relaxed pace. They must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Life jackets are available, and safety guidance is given before departure.
If conditions are unsafe, the skipper may alter the route, delay departure, or cancel the trip. Decisions are always made with safety as the priority.
In such cases, rescheduling or cancellation follows the stated policy, and you’ll be informed as early as possible.
