We partner with Rewilding Britain to help protect our natural spaces for future adventures.
All centres are vetted for safety and quality. Your adventure is in good hands with adventuro.
Leave the resort strip behind for a guided ATV convoy through Nadi's backroads, villages and highland viewpoints, with cultural stops and natural mud pools on a half day ride through Fiji beyond Denarau.
Your guide starts with a proper safety briefing and a short bike test so you feel comfortable before anyone leaves the yard. The convoy then rolls onto forest trails, village lanes and scenic backroads at a pace that suits first timers as well as confident riders. If you hold a valid licence you can drive your own ATV, and if you would rather sit back, passengers can share a two person machine with a licensed driver.
The riding is only part of the day. Stops are built in at a relaxed island pace, whether that means a village visit, time among tropical orchids, a lookout over the highlands or getting properly muddy in natural hot springs. The group stays together throughout, so you are never left to find your own way on unfamiliar tracks.
Routes begin in the Nadi area and head into the countryside beyond Denarau, through plantation edges, highland tracks and local communities that many holidaymakers never reach from the beach hotels alone.
Tracks can be dusty when the weather has been dry and satisfyingly muddy after rain, which is simply part of riding here. If your tour includes hotel pickup, you do not need to hunt for a remote meeting point or negotiate local roads in an hire car on your first morning in Fiji.
Anyone who wants to drive must be 18 or over and bring a valid full driving licence issued in any country, along with closed toe shoes for the ride. Guests without a licence are still welcome to join as a passenger with someone who meets the driver rules.
You do not need previous ATV experience. Staff talk you through the controls before the convoy sets off and stay with the group on uneven or hillier sections so you can focus on the views rather than the map.
Village visits, garden stops and a muddy soak in natural hot springs can all fit into one well paced half day, with your guide handling navigation and pace on the tracks while you take in Fiji away from the main tourist strip.
Small convoys, morning or afternoon slots and straightforward hotel pickup suit couples, friends and families who want something active and memorable without committing to a long coach tour or a full expedition.
Collection from your Nadi or Denarau hotel when pickup is included, then a safety talk, paperwork and a short bike test so everyone is comfortable before the convoy moves.
Once the group is ready, you roll onto the first backroads away from the resort zone.
Forest trails, village lanes and highland tracks link the riding sections. Morning routes often include Viseisei Village and the Garden of the Sleeping Giant with entrance fees included.
Afternoon highland departures swap in lookout points, a waterfall and village and school visits with a kava welcoming ceremony.
Morning tours finish with the famous mud pools and hot springs where you can get muddy and soak before the return ride. Afternoon tours wind down after the highland and kava stops.
Drop off is back at your hotel when pickup was included.
Hotel pickup and drop off is available from many stays in the Nadi and Denarau area. Collection time is confirmed before your tour date.
Guests who prefer to meet directly can coordinate a meeting point in the Nadi area when booking.
Yes. Many departures include round trip hotel pickup and drop off from stays in the Nadi and Denarau area. Your collection window is confirmed before the tour date so you know when to be ready at the main entrance.
Share your hotel name and a mobile number when you book so the team can plan the route. Private stays are usually met at a nearby agreed point rather than a resort lobby.
Drivers must be aged 18 or over and hold a valid full driving licence issued in any country. The licence should be current and you should bring it on the day of the tour.
Guests without a licence can still join as a passenger on a two person ATV with a licensed driver. Tell us your party mix when you book so seating can be planned in the convoy.
Tours run with a minimum of two guests. Solo travellers are welcome to book and are matched with other riders on the same departure where possible.
Maximum group size is up to ten riders at this stage, which keeps the convoy compact on narrow backroads and muddy sections.
Allow about four hours door to door, including briefing, riding time and stops at villages, gardens or highland lookouts depending on your departure slot.
Morning and afternoon departures follow different highlight routes through the Nadi countryside. Keep the hour after drop off flexible in case track conditions slow the return leg.
Closed toe shoes are required. Wear clothes you are happy to get dusty or muddy, especially if you plan to use the mud pools and hot springs on the morning route.
Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a towel. A change of top helps for the ride back after muddy or wet stops.
Entrance fees are included for the cultural and scenic stops on your chosen route, such as Viseisei Village, the Garden of the Sleeping Giant and the mud pools on morning departures, or village and school visits on highland afternoon runs.
Optional snacks, drinks and sit down meals are not included unless you add them locally on the day.
Younger guests typically ride as passengers with a licensed adult driver rather than operating the ATV themselves. Drivers must meet the minimum age and licence rules above.
Send ages when you book so the team can plan two person seating and keep the convoy balanced on hill sections.
Tracks can be muddier after rain, which is part of the character of these backroad routes. Very heavy weather may adjust timing or routing so the group stays together and safe.
Stay reachable on the day of travel in case the team sends a short update about collection time or track conditions.
Morning tours at 8am focus on Viseisei Village, the Garden of the Sleeping Giant and the mud pools and hot springs. Afternoon highland tours at 2pm head to lookout points, a waterfall, village and school visits, and a kava welcoming ceremony.
Choose the slot that suits your schedule when you book. Both are guided ATV convoys with the same safety briefing at the start.
Flights, travel insurance, personal expenses and gratuities are not included. Optional Fijian Indian curry lunch and extra drinks are available at additional cost on some departures.
Transport to a meeting point is only needed if you opt out of hotel pickup. Sunscreen, towels and a change of clothes are not supplied.

Beyond the resort strip on Viti Levu, guided ATV rides open up the Fiji most visitors never see: village visits, highland lookouts, forest trails and mud pools reached on backroads rather than tour buses. Small convoys keep the pace manageable for first-time riders while guides share local history and hospitality along the route.
Morning and afternoon departures from the Nadi area include hotel pickup on many tours, with safety briefings and riding instruction before you head onto dirt tracks, river crossings and scenic viewpoints. Whether you want culture, scenery or a muddy soak in natural hot springs, these half-day adventures are built for holidaymakers who would rather explore than sit by the pool.
