• Experience Type: Shared group or private option available

🗺️ What to Expect

Start of the day begins at the meeting point on Gili Trawangan, where snorkelling gear is sorted and the boat is ready to go. Once on board the glass-bottom boat, the journey between spots already gives a glimpse into the water below, setting the tone before even getting wet.

Three main snorkelling stops shape the route, each offering something slightly different. One area is known for its underwater statues where you can swim around the sculptures and take photos in clear water. Another stop focuses on turtle sightings, where there’s a good chance of seeing them moving through the sea grass and open water. A third location brings a mix of coral reefs and fish life, with plenty to see just a few metres below the surface.

Between stops, there’s time to relax on the boat, chat with the guide, and review GoPro footage if you’re on a shared trip. Private bookings follow a similar route but with more flexibility, allowing the pace and timing to be adjusted so the experience feels more personal and unhurried.

📍 Location

Surrounding waters of the Gili Islands are where the experience takes place, an area known for calm sea conditions and easy snorkelling access. The islands sit between Lombok and Bali, with Gili Trawangan acting as the main departure point.

Clear visibility and shallow reef systems make this part of Indonesia particularly popular for marine life spotting. Turtle sightings are common, and the underwater landscapes vary between sandy areas, coral gardens, and art installations beneath the surface.

📌 Prerequisites

Comfort in the water makes the experience more enjoyable, though no prior snorkelling experience is needed. A guide is on hand throughout to support entry into the water and point out areas of interest during each stop.

Young swimmers from age 7 upwards are welcome as long as they feel confident in open water. Life jackets are available if preferred, and the pace is adjusted depending on the group or private setup.
