A private boat experience from Sorrento to Capri designed for small groups who want a relaxed day on the water with the freedom to shape the pace of the trip. The day combines coastal cruising, swim stops in clear water and time to explore Capri or stay onboard and enjoy the scenery. Everything is handled by a skipper so you can focus on the experience itself.
The day begins at your chosen departure point where you meet your skipper and board the boat. From here, you travel along the Sorrento coastline towards Capri, with time to settle in and take in the changing views as you leave the mainland behind and head into open sea. The crossing is smooth and gives a strong sense of the coastline opening up as you approach the island.
On arrival at Capri, the boat follows the island’s shoreline, passing notable rock formations including the Faraglioni. Depending on sea conditions, there may be an opportunity to view the Blue Grotto from the water. Swim stops are arranged in sheltered bays where the water is clearer and calmer, giving time to snorkel or swim at your own pace.
Midway through the day, there is flexibility to go ashore if you want to explore Capri or Anacapri. Some guests choose to visit viewpoints, walk through the town or stop for lunch at a seaside restaurant, while others remain on the boat to continue swimming and relaxing. The skipper adapts the timing based on your preferences.
The return journey to Sorrento is calm and unhurried, giving you time to relax on deck and enjoy the final stretch of coastline before arriving back at the marina.
This experience takes place in the Gulf of Naples along the Sorrento Peninsula and across to Capri. The area is known for its clear waters, rocky coastline and small coves that are often only accessible by boat, making it ideal for a private sea-based trip.
Departure is from either Sorrento or Piano di Sorrento, both located on the southern coast of Italy. From there, the route crosses to Capri and continues around the island, with plenty of time spent exploring different areas along the way.
No boating experience is required as a licensed skipper operates the boat throughout the day. All navigation, safety and timing are managed for you, allowing the experience to remain straightforward and easy to follow.
Guests should be comfortable around water if planning to swim or snorkel. Swimwear and sun protection are recommended, along with light clothing suitable for both time on the boat and walking ashore if you choose to visit Capri.
The experience is run on modern Trimarchi Marg 23 boats, designed for comfort and space, accommodating up to six guests so groups can relax properly during the day. Each trip is private and tailored, with flexible departure and return times arranged around your plans rather than a fixed schedule.
There is a strong focus on quality service and creating a relaxed atmosphere on board, with thoughtful touches like snorkelling equipment, towels and refreshments included. With experienced English-speaking skippers and a commitment to personalised service, the aim is to make the day feel easy, well organised and focused on enjoying the coastline and time together on the water.
