With your helmet on and a short briefing behind you, you follow your guide on an ATV as the valleys around Göreme take on late colour. The convoy runs through Sword Valley, Rose Valley and Love Valley with stops for photographs and views, and hotel pickup in the Göreme area is included so you can go from your stay straight to the start.
After a short safety briefing you are fitted with a helmet and shown how to use the throttle and brakes, and how the group will stay in a convoy on the dirt tracks. You leave Göreme on wide paths that run between fairy chimneys and ridges, with the guide setting a speed that mixed ability riders can hold comfortably.
The route threads Sword Valley and Rose Valley and continues toward Red Valley near Çavuşin, with a pause in Love Valley among the tall rock towers. As the sun drops the sandstone can glow deep red; you take photographs at the stops, then ride back toward base with hotel drop-off included.
Volcanic tracks spread out from Göreme into valleys, ridges and open dirt paths that suit a guided ATV convoy without mixing with main-road traffic. Within a few minutes of the village you are on quiet trail, which is why this area works well for a sunset ride.
The evening slot is chosen for the way the cliffs catch warm light over Sword, Rose and Love valleys. A short transfer from your hotel means more of your two hours is spent on the ATV rather than in a vehicle getting to the start.
First-timers are welcome. You should be comfortable sitting securely on a quad for around two hours, using simple hand controls and following the guide's instructions when the convoy slows, stops or changes track.
Riders need to be at least three years old and able to sit with support if needed for the full ride. Tell us the ages in your group when you book so we can match vehicles and confirm the session suits everyone travelling together.
We are a TURSAB licensed Turkish travel agency with years of experience hosting guests across Turkiye, and your evening in Göreme is run with local partners who know these valley tracks in the last light. You get a clear pickup, a proper briefing and a guide who stays with the convoy from the village to the final stop.
Helmets are included and the pace is set so mixed groups can stay together without anyone feeling rushed. Hotel pickup in Göreme is part of the session if you would rather not arrange your own taxi or parking at the start point.
You are collected from your hotel in Göreme and brought to the ATV start, where your guide fits your helmet and walks you through the controls, braking and how the convoy will stay together on the tracks. There is time to ask questions before anyone sets off, which helps if this is your first time on a quad.
When the group is ready, you leave the edge of the village and head toward the open valley trails as the light begins to soften for the sunset ride.
The convoy follows dirt tracks through Sword Valley, Rose Valley and toward Red Valley near Çavuşin, winding between fairy chimneys and ridges at a pace that suits mixed ability riders. The guide keeps the line tight enough to stay safe but leaves room at the stops for photographs and a look around.
Photo breaks are chosen where the volcanic landscape opens up and the late light starts to colour the rock, so you see why this route is timed for the end of the day.
You pause in Love Valley among the tall rock towers for photographs as the sun drops, when the sandstone can glow a deep red in the last light. This stop is usually the highlight of the ride for guests who have not seen the valley in the evening before.
Afterward you ride back toward the starting point, with hotel drop-off included once everyone is off the ATVs. Allow a little buffer around the two-hour riding window for pickup and the drive back to your stay.
Hotel pickup is included for many stays in and around Göreme. Share your hotel name so collection can be arranged for your sunset slot.
If you prefer to travel independently, we will confirm a meet-up point in Göreme. Exact timing varies with the season and the light.
Hotel pickup is included for many guests staying in and around Göreme. Share your hotel name when you book so the driver can collect you for the sunset departure.
If you prefer to drive or walk to the start, we confirm a straightforward meet-up point in Göreme and the exact time for your date once the season and light are set.
No. This tour is aimed at first-timers as well as guests who have ridden a quad before. Your guide explains the throttle, brakes and how the convoy will stay together before you leave the village.
If you have never ridden an ATV, say so at the briefing and the guide will keep the first section of track gentle while you get used to the controls and the feel of the bike.
The ATV experience lasts about two hours, including the safety briefing and the time you spend on the valley tracks. Pickup and drop-off may add a little extra depending on where you are staying around Göreme.
Sunset departures are planned around the light rather than a fixed time on every calendar date. Your confirmation shows the slot booked for your evening so you know when to be ready at the hotel.
Wear closed-toe shoes and long trousers, as they protect you from dust and brush on the dirt tracks. A light long sleeve, hat and sunscreen help on bright evenings, and the valleys often feel cooler once the sun is low.
Avoid loose scarves or clothing that could catch on the handlebars, and bring a small bag only if it can be secured on the ATV or left at the base. If you are unsure what to wear, contact us before you travel and we will advise for these trails.
Yes. Hotel pickup and drop-off in the Göreme area are part of this session. Add your hotel details when you book so collection can be arranged for the correct sunset slot.
If your accommodation is outside the usual pickup zone, we explain the simplest way to join, whether that means a short transfer to the start or meeting the guide at an agreed point in Göreme.
Groups run from one to fifteen guests, which keeps the convoy small enough for the guide to see everyone on the tracks. The pace is set for mixed ability, with less experienced riders staying near the guide at the front of the line.
If you are coming as a larger party or with several young riders, mention the headcount when you enquire so we can check ATV numbers and timing for your date.
The minimum age is three. Younger riders need to sit securely on the quad with an adult or guide as required, and follow simple instructions for the full two hours on the tracks.
Tell us the ages in your group when you book so we can match vehicles honestly and confirm the session is appropriate before you arrive in Cappadocia.
Light cloud or cooler air often still makes for a good ride, and soft light can be especially clear over the valleys at sunset. Heavy rain, strong wind or unsafe track conditions may mean we need to move your booking to another date.
We contact you as soon as we know whether the tour can go ahead, because safety on the dirt paths always comes before keeping to the original slot.
Yes. A helmet is included for the session, along with the ATV you will ride that evening. We fit and adjust straps at the start so you can tighten them properly before you leave the village.
You may bring your own helmet if you prefer a familiar fit, as long as it is suitable for off-road riding rather than road cycling.
The route follows dirt tracks through Sword Valley, Rose Valley and toward Red Valley near Çavuşin, with a stop in Love Valley among the tall rock towers. Photo breaks are built into the ride rather than treated as an afterthought.
Your guide chooses stops where the volcanic landscape opens up and the late light starts to colour the rock, so you have time to look around without holding up the rest of the convoy for long.
