Starting from Sorrento, this private day aboard the Jeranto 9 is designed for groups who want time, space, and flexibility on the water. The classic gozzo layout offers a relaxed setup with shaded seating and open deck areas, making it well suited to a full day at sea. It’s a good option for couples, families, or small groups looking to shape the route around their interests rather than follow a fixed plan.
Your day begins at Sorrento harbour, where you’ll meet the crew close to the waterfront before heading down to the boat. After a short briefing and getting settled on board, the Jeranto 9 leaves the marina and follows the coastline out towards open water. Early on, the skipper will talk through your chosen route and suggest how best to structure the day based on sea conditions and how much time you’d like to spend cruising, swimming, or stopping ashore.
As the trip unfolds, the pace stays deliberately unhurried. You may head across to Capri, cruise south towards Positano, or continue along the Amalfi Coast, with the skipper selecting suitable spots for swimming and snorkelling along the way. These stops are chosen for calmer water and easy access, giving you time to swim directly from the boat or relax on deck with a drink.
If you’d like to spend time on land, this can be built into the day at destinations such as Capri or Positano. Time ashore is flexible but forms part of the overall duration, so the experience remains well balanced. The return journey to Sorrento is smooth and scenic, rounding off a full day that combines coastline cruising, sea time, and space to unwind on board.
Departure is from Sorrento harbour at Marina Piccola, located just below the town centre and easily reached by foot, lift, or taxi. The marina area has cafés, bars, and small shops nearby, making it a convenient place to arrive early for a coffee or organise last-minute supplies.
Sorrento is a practical starting point for longer coastal routes, offering relatively direct access to Capri as well as the Amalfi Coast. Leaving from here reduces unnecessary backtracking, meaning more of the day is spent enjoying the boat and the surrounding waters rather than long transit sections.
This experience is suitable for most guests, including families with children, provided everyone is comfortable spending several hours on a boat. Boarding involves stepping onto the vessel from the marina, so guests should be able to manage this independently or with minimal assistance.
No boating experience is required, as navigation and safety are handled by the skipper. Guests with mobility concerns or certain medical conditions should consider whether moving around the deck and entering the water for swimming will be comfortable.
Each trip is organised around the people on board rather than a strict timetable, allowing the day to adapt naturally as it progresses. This approach gives guests more control over how long they spend cruising, swimming, or stopping ashore.
Experienced skippers, well-maintained boats, and a focus on comfort help create a dependable and relaxed day on the water. The aim is to offer a private experience that feels flexible and personal without overcomplicating the plan.
Yes, the Jeranto 9 is reserved solely for your group for the entire day. There are no shared guests, and the skipper focuses only on your preferences and chosen route.
This privacy also allows the pace of the day to be adjusted easily if you want to linger in certain areas or move on sooner.
The Jeranto 9 can host up to eight guests. This keeps the layout comfortable, with enough seating, shaded space, and room to move around during the day.
The price is per group rather than per person, so the cost remains the same whether you’re travelling as a couple or a full group.
Swimming stops are planned whenever sea and weather conditions make it safe to do so. The skipper selects suitable locations with calmer water and good visibility.
If conditions change during the day, the route or timing of swim stops may be adjusted to keep the experience comfortable.
Yes, stops ashore can be arranged on request at places such as Capri or Positano. Time spent on land is included within the total tour duration.
Please note that harbour or docking fees, where applicable, are not included unless stated and are payable locally.
Children are welcome on board and often enjoy the mix of cruising and swimming. They must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Life jackets are available, and safety information is provided before departure.
