Fly across Wadi Rum canyon gaps on a guided zipline with certified harness gear and a professional safety briefing. One hour on site covers kit issue, instructor coaching, and aerial runs with bird's-eye views of red valleys and sandstone walls.
Instructors fit harness and helmet, explain launch and landing protocol, then guide you through runs across the canyon line. Beginners and experienced guests are coached at the platform before each launch.
The session covers gear issue, safety briefing, and one or more runs depending on group size and conditions on the day.
The zipline site sits within Wadi Rum Protected Area where canyon walls create natural height for aerial lines above red sand and rock corridors. Open desert light makes photography from launch platforms memorable on clear days.
The meeting point near camp facilities allows you to pair a short zipline session with jeep or hiking products on the same visit.
Guests must meet supplier age, weight, and health rules. Closed shoes and secure clothing are required. Medical clearance is advised for heart or back conditions before aerial activities.
Tie back long hair and remove loose jewellery before harness fitting. Instructors make final safety decisions on site if gear cannot be fitted securely.
Certified gear and instructor supervision keep the experience structured for first-timers. Equipment is included, and the fixed meeting point simplifies adding a quick aerial hit to a wider Jordan desert itinerary.
The canyon setting gives wide views across sandstone walls and red valleys that you cannot replicate from ground-level jeep or walking tours.
Arrive at the group parking area and check in with staff. Instructors confirm booking details and direct you to the zipline base for harness sizing and helmet issue.
Professional instructors explain harness use, launch posture, hand signals, and landing zone rules. Practice positions on the platform before the first run across the canyon gap.
Launch from the platform and glide across the canyon with views of sandstone walls and red valleys below. Instructors supervise launch and landing for each guest in the session.
Return harness and helmet to staff, debrief with instructors, and collect personal items. Ask about combo activities if you want to extend your day in the reserve.
Professional instructors fit certified harness and helmet gear and explain launch position, braking, and landing signals before your first run. The briefing is mandatory even for guests who have zipped before.
Listen carefully and ask questions if anything is unclear before stepping onto the platform.
All certified zipline equipment required for the ride is provided on site. Wear closed shoes and secure loose clothing and jewellery before harness fitting.
Long hair should be tied back so it does not catch in hardware during the run.
The ride crosses desert canyon gaps with views down into red valleys and across sandstone walls. Duration is about one hour including briefing, gear issue, and one or more runs as per product setup.
Exact line length and height depend on the installed course at the meeting area.
Beginners are welcome when they meet supplier age and weight rules. Instructors coach nervous first-timers through harness fit and launch technique.
Guests with heart conditions or recent injuries should seek medical advice before aerial activities.
Meet at Hasan Group Parking Area inside Wadi Rum Protected Area. Pickup from camps may be available when arranged in advance.
Arrive on time so the group can complete briefing and runs within the booked hour slot.
Weight and height limits apply per equipment manufacturer rules. Contact the team in advance if you are near limit boundaries.
Instructors make final safety decisions on site if gear cannot be fitted securely.
Zipline operations may pause during high wind, electrical storms, or sandstorms. Light breeze usually does not stop the activity.
If conditions are unsafe, the operator contacts you to discuss rescheduling.
Transport from Petra, Aqaba, or airports to the meeting point is not included. Plan road travel if you are not already staying inside the reserve.
Pickup from camps inside Wadi Rum may be arranged when you provide location details in advance.
The protected area entrance fee is paid separately unless your selected rate already includes it. Keep any ticket issued by rangers inside the reserve.
The zipline product does not include jeep tours or hiking unless arranged separately.
Spring and autumn offer the most comfortable conditions for outdoor aerial activities in the desert. Winter days can be pleasant, while summer heat may require early session times.
Wind is the main factor that can pause zipline operations. Your instructor confirms conditions at the platform before each run.
