Is Jerash an outdoor sport destination?

It's walking and a cultural day with altitude that's kinder than Rum in summer. Serious canyon and reef sports are elsewhere.

Things to do in Jerash

Jerash is the Roman city in the northern highlands. You walk stone, not sand. It's a day trip from Amman for most people, and a cooler, greener stop than the southern desert. Come for the site and a highland loop, not for a reef or a rumble of 4x4s.
