Jump in an open safari truck for a full day inland from Kaş and Kalkan: canyon walks, village tea, ancient ruins from the jeep, and a swim at Kaputaş beach below the famous cliffs. Your guide walks the gorges with you, keeps the convoy small enough to hear the commentary, and ties the wet morning and sunny afternoon into one coherent story.
The morning run climbs over the hills to Üzümlü village for sage or black tea among grape vines, and guides sometimes organise a light-hearted water fight between trucks before the serious walking begins. From there you continue toward Saklikent National Park for a guided wade through Turkey's longest gorge, where cold spring water and wooden walkways lead between towering limestone walls.
After lunch at a canyon restaurant you hike into hidden Gizlikent toward its waterfall, then swing past Xanthos with commentary from the vehicle and Patara's dunes for photos. The day finishes at Kaputaş cove with time to descend the steps and swim before the trucks return you to Kaş or Kalkan. Optional zip line or rafting may be offered locally for an extra fee when operators are open.
Saklikent cuts deep into the Taurus range with chilly river water and shade that feels worlds away from the yachts in Kaş harbour. Gizlikent adds a shorter, greener gorge with a waterfall chamber that locals treat as natural air conditioning in high summer.
Kaputaş closes the loop on the Mediterranean side with a classic turquoise cove under steep cliffs, so you get canyon cool and beach warmth in one ticket. The inland drive also frames how quickly the landscape changes once you leave the coastal road behind.
No canyoning or off-road experience is needed. You should be steady on wet, uneven stones in the gorge and able to climb in and out of the open jeep with a hand from the crew if required. Expect to get wet from the knees up in Saklikent; water shoes or rented canyon shoes at the entrance make the walk more comfortable.
Bring dry clothes for the beach stop and protect phones if you join the village water fun. Families join regularly; younger children may skip the deepest wading sections with a parent while the main group continues with the guide.
Guides walk with you in the canyons instead of waving from the car park, which matters on slippery sections and when explaining what you are standing on. Trucks are not packed to capacity, so the day stays sociable and you can actually hear the history between stops.
One driver who knows the roads, lunch timing, and beach parking beats trying to stitch canyon, ruins, and Kaputaş together on your own. Hotel pickup in Kaş and Kalkan when included on your voucher rounds off a long but varied inland adventure.
Meet at Bahçe Street (No.6/D) in Kaş for the scheduled departure, or wait at your hotel if pickup is confirmed on your voucher. Kalkan guests are collected along the route; be ready at the lobby at the time stated in your confirmation.
Wear clothes that can get wet and bring a change for after the canyon walks. Parking near the Kaş office is available in Andifli.

Kaş
From the harbour towns of Kaş and Kalkan, we run small-group adventures along Turkey's Lycian coast — boat days to Kekova, sea kayaking over ancient ruins, canyon safaris, and multi-day treks on the Lycian Way. Our team lives and works here year-round, so itineraries follow real sea conditions, village rhythms, and the quiet coves that make this coastline special.
Whether you want a relaxed day on the water or a week on the trail, you will travel with experienced local guides who handle safety briefings, equipment, and the practical details while you focus on the views, swimming stops, and stories of the region. We keep groups intimate so every guest gets attention on the water and on the path.
