Enjoy a relaxed private boat cruise timed to catch the sunset along Mallorca’s south-east coast. This experience focuses on calm cruising, quiet anchor spots, and watching the light change over the water with a glass of cava in hand. It’s well suited to couples, friends, and small groups who want a slower-paced evening on the sea.
You’ll meet at the marina in the early evening and board the boat as the skipper outlines the plan based on conditions and sunset timing. Rather than covering long distances, the route stays close to the coast, making the most of sheltered water and scenic stretches that work well at lower light levels. The atmosphere onboard is relaxed, with no set agenda beyond enjoying the time on the water.
As the sun drops, the boat will either cruise slowly along the coastline or stop in a calm cala, depending on conditions and group preference. Cava is served chilled, along with water and fresh fruit, giving you time to sit back and watch the colours change across the sea and cliffs. There’s no pressure to swim, but if conditions allow and the group wishes, a short dip is often possible before dusk.
Because this is a private trip, timing and pace are flexible. If the light is particularly good in one spot, you can linger. If another stretch of coast looks quieter, the skipper can reposition easily. The focus is on creating an easy, well-paced evening rather than fitting into a fixed schedule.
The cruise departs from Cala d’Or, with the meeting point on Avenida de Cala Lona in front of the marina office. Cala d’Or is straightforward to reach and well placed for short evening trips without long transits.
The surrounding coastline offers a mix of open water and protected calas, which works particularly well at sunset when wind often drops. Staying local allows more time enjoying the conditions rather than travelling, making it a strong location for sunset-focused boat trips.
No boating experience is required, as the trip is fully skippered. Guests should be able to move safely around the boat and follow basic onboard instructions, particularly as light levels reduce later in the trip.
If children are part of the group, this must be confirmed in advance so timings and safety considerations can be planned properly. Final departure time may shift slightly on the day to align with sunset and sea conditions.
Keeping group sizes small allows sunset trips to stay calm and unhurried, without competing for space or viewpoints. The skipper can focus on positioning the boat well rather than managing a large group, which makes a noticeable difference at quieter times of day.
Local knowledge of how evening conditions change along this stretch of coast helps ensure the trip finishes in a sheltered area with good light and minimal swell. The result is a sunset experience that feels considered and comfortable rather than rushed or crowded.
The meeting point is at the marina in Cala d’Or, on Avenida de Cala Lona, directly in front of the marina office. This location is easy to reach on foot from central Cala d’Or and is well known to local taxis.
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before your scheduled departure time to allow for check-in and a short briefing. If you are delayed, it’s important to contact the team as early as possible, as late arrivals may reduce time on the water.
All experiences are private, meaning only your group will be on board. There are no shared departures with other guests, which allows for a quieter and more flexible experience.
Private trips also make it easier to adjust pace, stops, and timing based on the group’s preferences and the conditions on the day, rather than following a fixed group itinerary.
Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Same-day bookings are not accepted, as boats, skippers, and conditions need to be confirmed ahead of time.
During peak season, availability can fill quickly, especially for sunset and fishing trips, so booking earlier is recommended where possible.
All trips are subject to weather and sea conditions. If conditions are unsafe or unsuitable, the skipper may adjust the route, timing, or duration to improve comfort and safety.
If a trip cannot go ahead at all due to conditions, options will usually include rescheduling or cancellation in line with the published cancellation policy.
Children can take part, but this must be confirmed at the time of booking. Age, group size, and the type of activity all affect what is suitable and safe.
Declaring minors in advance allows the trip to be planned properly, including timing, seating, and any additional safety considerations.
Boat trips include snorkelling masks, drinking water, ice, and fresh fruit. These are provided to keep the experience simple and comfortable without needing to bring extra equipment.
Stand-up paddleboards are not included but may be available for an additional €20 if requested in advance and conditions allow.
You should bring swimwear, a towel, sun protection, and any personal items you may need on the water. Light footwear with good grip is recommended for moving around the marina.
For fishing trips, any specialist personal gear should be discussed in advance. Storage space on board is limited, so packing light is advised.
No, routes and timing vary depending on sea conditions, wind direction, and guest preferences. This flexibility is intentional and helps improve comfort and overall quality.
Rather than following a rigid plan, decisions are made on the day to make the best use of the conditions, which often results in a better experience than a fixed route.
