Enjoy a focused two-hour private ski lesson on the slopes of Sierra Nevada, Spain's premier southern ski resort. Your qualified instructor works with you alone or as a pair, building confidence and technique at a pace that suits your ability, from first turns on gentle nursery slopes to refining control on more challenging pistes.
Your session begins at the agreed meeting point in Pradollano, where your instructor greets you and checks your goals for the lesson. Complete beginners spend time on flat snow learning how to put on equipment, move around safely and make their first controlled slides before progressing to a gentle slope.
More experienced skiers can move quickly to terrain that matches their level, with your coach offering clear demonstrations, feedback and exercises throughout the two hours. The lesson is entirely yours, so you can focus on whatever matters most, whether that is building foundations, overcoming a plateau or polishing technique before exploring more of the mountain.
Expect a steady, supportive pace with time to rest, ask questions and repeat drills until movements feel natural. Your instructor adjusts the plan as your confidence grows, and finishes with practical tips you can use when practising on your own later in the day.
Sierra Nevada sits high above Granada in Andalusia, offering reliable snow and wide sunny pistes within easy reach of the coast. Lessons run from the main resort village of Pradollano, where lifts, hire shops and cafés are close to the meeting point.
The ski area spans varied terrain from gentle learner slopes to demanding runs, making it an excellent setting for private tuition at any level. Arrive with enough time to collect any hire kit and reach the meeting point without rushing, especially during busy holiday periods.
At around 2,500 metres, the resort enjoys a bright, crisp mountain atmosphere with views across the peaks. Pradollano is compact and walkable, so once you are in the village it is straightforward to move between parking, equipment hire and the slopes.
No prior skiing experience is required for beginners. You should be in reasonable health and able to participate in a physical outdoor activity on snow for two hours, including walking in boots and managing gentle slopes.
Please let your instructor know about any injuries, medical conditions or concerns before the session starts so the lesson can be planned safely. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, bring suitable eyewear for bright snow and changing light conditions.
Private lessons give you the fastest route to progress because every minute on snow is spent working on your technique, not waiting for a large group. Patient, qualified instructors adapt explanations and exercises to how you learn best, whether you are nervous on your first day or chasing smoother carved turns.
Learning in Sierra Nevada combines excellent snow conditions with a relaxed resort atmosphere, and a two-hour private session is long enough to make a real difference without feeling overwhelming. You may also extend your time on the mountain with the same coach when availability allows.
Meet your instructor at the agreed point in Pradollano and discuss your experience, confidence and what you want to achieve during the two-hour session. Your coach checks equipment and makes sure you are comfortable before heading to the snow.
Spend the main part of the lesson on terrain suited to your level, with clear demonstrations, guided practice and personal feedback. Beginners build safe fundamentals; improvers work on smoother turns, speed control and mountain awareness.
Finish with a short recap of what you have learned and practical tips for practising independently if you are continuing on the mountain. Your instructor can suggest suitable slopes and answer questions about extending your lesson or booking further sessions.
No. This private lesson welcomes complete beginners as well as skiers who already have some time on snow. Your instructor assesses your level at the start and chooses terrain and exercises that match where you are today.
If you have skied before, even briefly, mention it when you arrange your session so your coach can plan work that builds on what you already know rather than repeating the very basics.
Up to two people can share one private instructor for the full two-hour session. This works well for couples, friends or a parent and older child who want to learn together at a similar pace.
If you are a larger group, consider the family or group private lesson option, which accommodates more participants with one dedicated coach.
Yes. The standard session is two hours, but additional time may be available when the instructor has capacity. Mention your preference in advance or ask at the meeting point if you would like to extend on the day.
Extra time is subject to instructor availability and slope conditions, so it helps to flag your interest early whenever possible.
Ski hire is available in Pradollano village close to the meeting point, and your instructor can advise on what you need for your level. Whether equipment is provided as part of your session depends on the arrangements confirmed for your visit.
Arrive a little early if you need hire kit so boots and skis can be fitted properly before your lesson starts.
You will need access to the slopes used during your lesson, which usually means a lift pass unless one is arranged separately. Your instructor can advise on the most suitable pass for a two-hour lesson once your session plan is agreed.
Confirm lift pass arrangements before you travel so you are ready to head straight to the snow at the start time.
Wear warm, waterproof outer layers, gloves, a hat or helmet, and goggles or sunglasses suitable for bright snow and changing weather. Thermal base layers and ski socks help you stay comfortable for the full two hours on the mountain.
Sun protection is important at altitude even on cloudy days. If you are hiring equipment, allow a few extra minutes so boots and skis can be fitted properly before your lesson starts.
Lessons meet in Pradollano, the main village in Sierra Nevada, at Pl. Pradollano. Exact meeting instructions are shared once your session is confirmed.
Allow extra time to park, collect hire equipment and walk to the meeting point, especially at weekends and during school holidays when the resort can be busy.
Skiing depends on safe slope and weather conditions. If conditions are unsuitable, your instructor or our team will contact you to rearrange or discuss alternatives. Sierra Nevada often enjoys good snow, but mountain weather can change quickly.
Dress for cold and wind, and follow your instructor's guidance at all times. Your safety is the priority if visibility or snow quality is poor.
Private lessons can work well for children who are old enough to follow instruction and spend two hours on snow, especially when sharing the session with a parent or guardian. Minimum age was not specified in the partner information we received.
Please tell us the ages and experience levels of everyone taking part so we can confirm suitability and match you with the right instructor.
You should be in reasonable health and able to walk in ski boots, bend your knees and manage gentle slopes for two hours. Skiing is a physical activity, but your instructor paces the session to your fitness and confidence.
If you have any concerns about fitness, injuries or mobility, mention them before the lesson so exercises and terrain can be chosen carefully.
