Hotel pickup starts this private day, with time at the tarsiers, the Chocolate Hills, and a floating lunch on the river. Your vehicle stays with you, so you can linger at a stop or move on when you are ready. An ATV ride at the foot of the hills is built into the middle of the outing.
Morning collection puts you in a private car for the inland run. You spend the middle of the day between a quiet sanctuary path, time on ATVs under the hills, and a sit-down buffet while the river boat moves. After lunch there is a chance to ride again on an ATV or a buggy, then the same vehicle takes you back.
The usual order is the itinerary below. A stop can run long if a path is quiet, or shorter if the group is ready to move. Your host can swap a site if it is busy and still cover the same shape of day.
Panglao is the usual start, on the south coast, before the drive inland to Carmen and the river towns. The hills sit above farmland, and the river lunch runs through a green corridor of trees and houses on stilts.
A good part of the day is on the road between these inland stops. The air-conditioned vehicle is your base, so drinks and bags can stay in the car while you walk a sanctuary path or ride the ATV.
From 5, children may join. You should be happy to sit on an ATV for a stretch, walk short paths, and spend several hours in a vehicle. No riding experience is needed. The day itself is rated easy; the ATV block is the more physical part.
Someone in your group can skip the machines and wait at the yard. Infants sit on an adult's lap in the vehicle. Speak up before you leave the hotel if a guest needs more shade or a slower pace.
Our hosts keep a private vehicle with your group for the whole inland day. You are not folded into a coach list at the hills or on the river.
The driver and guide stay from pickup to drop-off and handle the tickets at each gate. A photo stop on the drive does not need a vote from a larger group.
You walk a short sanctuary path to see tarsiers on their branches. The stop is quiet and your host will tell you where you can stand. Photographs are only allowed where the sanctuary staff say so.
You stop at a viewpoint over the cones, then ride an ATV at the foot of the hills. Your host leads the line and keeps the pace easy. This is the first close look at the mounds from the trail, not only from the deck.
You board a floating restaurant for a buffet lunch while the boat moves along the river. Tables sit on the open deck, and the banks slide past as you eat. This is the long sit-down break in the middle of the day.
After lunch you can ride again at the foot of the hills, this time on an ATV or a buggy if the yard has one free. You may also spend a few minutes with the stalls and the people who live around the trail. Then we drive you back to your hotel.
We collect you from your hotel, most often on Panglao. Be in the lobby at the time we send after you book. The day ends when we bring you back to the same place.
Yes. The car and the driver stay with your booking for the day. You are not added to a coach list at the hills or on the river.
That means you can ask for a slower morning or a longer lunch. Tell your host at pickup if someone needs more shade or more stops.
We collect you from your hotel, most often on Panglao. Be in the lobby at the time we send after you book. If your stay is farther inland, we will confirm the pin the evening before.
The same vehicle brings you back at the end of the day, so you do not need a second car for the return. Stay in the lobby until we arrive, and keep your booking confirmation handy in case the driver needs to check the name.
Yes. Lunch is a buffet on a floating restaurant while the boat moves along the river. You sit at a table on the deck and eat as the banks go by.
Drinks beyond the lunch service are usually extra. If anyone in your group has a food need, tell us when you book so the host can ask the boat staff.
No. The ATV block is part of the usual day, but you can wait at the yard if you would rather not ride. The rest of your group can still go out.
Tell your host before you reach the hills so the yard knows how many machines to set up. Children from 5 may come on the day; whether they ride alone is decided after the briefing.
Plan for about 8 hours and 30 minutes from pickup to drop-off. Road time from Panglao inland is part of that. A quiet sanctuary or a long lunch can stretch a stop.
We do not cut the river lunch short to chase a clock. If you have a dinner booking, tell your host in the morning so the last stop can run tighter.
Children from 5 may join. They sit with an adult in the vehicle. At the sanctuary they need to stay quiet and on the path.
On the ATV, the guide decides if a child rides alone or with an adult. Bring a hat and water; the hills are more open than the river.
Light rain rarely stops the day. The vehicle stays dry, the river lunch still runs, and the ATV trails get muddier. Your host will skip a slick loop if the ground is unsafe.
If a storm closes a site, we move the order or wait it out. You will hear as soon as that call is made.
A booking can be from 1 to 30 guests. The vehicle size matches the number we collect. Larger families still travel as one private group.
If you are close to 30, tell us early so we can plan a second car rather than squeeze the last row.
Wear closed shoes for the ATV and clothes that can take a little dust. A light spare top is useful after the ride. The river boat is shadier, so a layer you can take off helps.
There is no dress code for the lunch. Leave valuables you would not want on a vibrating machine in the car.
The drive inland often passes a straight mahogany road where people pause for a photograph. Your host can stop there if the traffic allows and if you want the picture.
It is a short roadside pause, not a long walk. Ask in the morning if that stop matters to you, so it is built into the timing.
