A private morning on the Pacific coastline offers a relaxed way to enjoy time on the water with swimming stops, onboard dining and space to unwind. It’s well suited to groups looking for a more exclusive day at sea with a mix of activity and downtime.
Check-in takes place at a beachside meeting point in Tamarindo where the crew welcomes you on board and gets everyone settled before departure. Once underway, the route follows the northern Guanacaste coastline, passing rocky headlands, small islets and long stretches of open Pacific waters. Marine life is often seen along this stretch, including dolphins, turtles and rays, with seasonal whale activity also possible.
The boat anchors in a sheltered cove or near a quiet beach for the main stop of the trip. This is where the water activities take place, with options including swimming, snorkelling, kayaking and paddleboarding. All equipment is provided, and there is space on board for those who prefer to relax and stay dry.
After time in the water, a freshly prepared meal is served alongside a selection of drinks. The return journey follows the coastline back towards Tamarindo, giving time to unwind on deck before arriving back at the beach.
The experience begins in Tamarindo, a coastal town on Costa Rica’s Pacific side known for its surf culture, long sandy beach and relaxed atmosphere. The meeting point is centrally located, making it easy to reach from most nearby accommodation.
The sailing route explores the surrounding Guanacaste coastline, an area made up of rocky formations, sheltered coves and open ocean views. Morning conditions are often calm, making it a comfortable setting for a private boat trip with good opportunities for marine wildlife sightings.
No sailing or water experience is required to take part in this trip. The crew provides guidance throughout, making the experience straightforward and accessible from start to finish.
A basic comfort level around water is recommended if planning to take part in swimming or snorkelling. All equipment is supplied on board, and participation in water activities is optional.

Once on board, guests are offered a welcome drink and shown around the vessel before departure. The crew also gives a brief safety introduction so everyone knows what to expect during the cruise.
Yes, the trip is designed so that swimming ability is not required to take part. Life jackets are available, and water activities such as kayaking or paddleboarding can be enjoyed without needing strong swimming skills.

The waters off the Guanacaste coastline are home to a range of marine species, and sightings can include dolphins, sea turtles and manta rays. These are most commonly seen while travelling along the coastline or during quieter moments on the boat.
At certain times of year, whale sightings are also possible as they pass through the area. While wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, the crew is experienced in spotting and sharing information when animals appear.
A full selection of food and drinks is included throughout the experience. The morning meal typically features a breakfast burrito, fruit platter and freshly made banana bread, served after the initial cruise segment.
Later in the trip, a larger meal is served which includes chicken fajitas, rice, beans, salad, vegetable tray, fruit and additional banana bread. Drinks include soft drinks, juices, beer, white wine and a range of spirits.
The main stop includes time anchored in a sheltered cove or near a quiet beach where guests can enjoy a range of water-based activities. Equipment is provided for snorkelling, paddleboarding, kayaking and floating using pool noodles.
Guests are free to choose how active they want to be, with the option to stay on board and relax instead. The crew is always available to assist with equipment and safety.
The total experience lasts approximately four and a half hours, including sailing time, water activities and onboard dining. The cruising portion along the coastline makes up a significant part of the trip, offering steady views of the surrounding scenery.
Time is also set aside for anchoring and swimming, ensuring the schedule feels balanced between movement and relaxation rather than being rushed.
Yes, the private nature of the experience makes it well suited to group celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries or pre-wedding gatherings. The setup allows groups to enjoy time together in a more exclusive environment compared to larger shared tours.
