Start the day on the water with a relaxed cruise along Mallorca’s northern coastline, combining swimming stops, snorkelling and time to unwind on board. Calm morning conditions make this a great option for clear views beneath the surface and easy sailing between locations. With a small group and a traditional boat, the experience feels personal from the moment you step on board.
Mornings in Alcudia Bay tend to offer the clearest water and calmest conditions, making this an ideal time to head out along the coast. After setting off, the route follows a mix of open water and sheltered areas, passing cliffs, small coves and stretches of quiet shoreline that are difficult to reach on foot. The pace is steady, giving you time to take in the surroundings before arriving at the first swimming stop.
The first break in the journey is focused on getting into the water. You’ll have the chance to snorkel in clear conditions, where marine life such as fish and sea urchins are often visible. Paddle boards are also available if you prefer to stay on the surface. Between stops, the boat continues along the coastline, with the crew sharing local insight about the area and pointing out places of interest.
Later in the trip, there’s another stop near a well-known coastal landmark where you can swim again or simply relax on board. This is also when food and drinks are served, giving you time to enjoy local tapas while anchored in a quieter spot. The return journey is unhurried, with space to sit back on deck and take in the final views before heading back into the marina.
Departing from Port d’Alcúdia, this experience takes place in one of the most well-known coastal areas in northern Mallorca. The bay is known for its clear, shallow waters and long stretches of coastline, making it particularly suitable for swimming and snorkelling. Its position also provides shelter from stronger winds, which helps create smoother conditions during the morning.
As you travel along the coast, you’ll pass a mix of natural features including cliffs, small beaches and offshore islands. Some of the stops are only accessible by boat, giving you a different perspective compared to staying on land. The area combines open views with more secluded spots, offering variety throughout the route.
This trip is suitable for a wide range of guests, including those with little or no boating experience. You don’t need to be a strong swimmer to take part, as you’re free to stay on board and enjoy the surroundings if you prefer. For those entering the water, basic confidence in swimming is helpful but not essential.
Participants should be comfortable spending several hours outdoors in the sun. Bringing essentials such as swimwear, a towel and sun protection will help you get the most out of the experience. The crew are on hand throughout to assist and ensure everything runs smoothly.
The experience is centred around a traditional wooden boat built in Mallorca in 1968, offering a setting that reflects the island’s maritime history. Carefully maintained over the years, it combines original craftsmanship with modern updates, creating a comfortable and authentic way to explore the coastline.
Every trip is led by a local crew with extensive knowledge of the area, allowing access to quieter spots away from busier routes. The focus on smaller groups means there’s more space on board and a more relaxed atmosphere throughout the journey, making it easier to enjoy each stop at your own pace.
It’s best to come prepared for time both on the water and in the sun. Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and sunglasses to stay comfortable throughout the trip. A small bag is useful for keeping your belongings together, and a phone or camera can be handy for capturing the views along the coastline.
You may also want to bring a light cover-up or extra layer, especially for the return journey when there can be a breeze. Footwear that is easy to remove is recommended, as most guests go barefoot once on board for comfort and safety.
Yes, you can still enjoy the full experience without entering the water. Many guests choose to stay on board during swimming stops, taking in the scenery and relaxing on deck while others snorkel or paddle.
Life jackets are available if you’d like to feel more confident near the water, and the crew are always nearby to assist. The trip is designed so everyone can take part at their own comfort level without pressure to swim.
Families are welcome, and the calm morning conditions make it a good option for those travelling with children. The pace of the trip allows for breaks, swimming stops and time to relax, which suits a wide range of ages.
Safety equipment, including life jackets, is available in different sizes, and the crew are used to helping younger guests feel comfortable on board. Parents can decide how much or how little their children take part in water activities.
During the second stop, a selection of traditional Mallorcan tapas is served on board. This usually includes simple, fresh options that are easy to enjoy while anchored in a calm spot along the coast.
You’ll also receive one drink, which can include options such as soft drinks or sangria. If you have specific dietary requirements, it’s a good idea to mention them in advance so arrangements can be considered where possible.
No prior experience is needed to take part in snorkelling during the trip. Equipment is provided, and the crew can offer basic guidance on how to use it if you’re trying it for the first time.
The calm, clear conditions in the morning make it easier to get used to being in the water. If you prefer not to snorkel, you can simply swim, paddle board or stay on board instead.
There are shaded areas on board where you can take a break from direct sunlight during the trip. This is useful during the middle part of the experience when the sun is higher.
You’re free to move between shaded and open areas depending on your preference, whether you want to sit back and relax or stay out in the open to enjoy the views and warmth.
It’s recommended to arrive around 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. This allows enough time for check-in, boarding and a short briefing before the trip begins.
Arriving early also helps avoid any last-minute stress and ensures the group can leave on time. Late arrivals may not be able to join once the boat has departed.
