Sail along Palma’s coastline on a relaxed afternoon catamaran cruise combining swimming, snorkelling, and local tapas. This shorter experience is ideal if you want time on the water, a swim in Cala Vella, and views back towards the city from the sea.
Board in the Port of Palma and set sail across the bay, with clear views back towards the city skyline and the Cathedral as the catamaran heads south. The route follows the southern coastline, offering a calm and comfortable sail when conditions allow, with minimal engine use.
After reaching Cala Vella, the catamaran anchors for around 1.5 hours. This stop is dedicated to swimming, snorkelling, and time on deck. Guests can enter the water directly from the boat, relax on the nets, or use the floating mat. Snorkelling equipment and flotation vests are available, making the stop accessible for mixed ages and confidence levels.
During the anchorage, a selection of Mallorcan-style tapas is served on board, followed by fresh fruit. The return sail to Palma is unhurried, with a relaxed atmosphere and soft background music. As the boat approaches the harbour, you’ll see Palma from the water once more before returning to the original boarding point. Routes and timings may be adjusted by the skipper depending on sea conditions.
Boarding and disembarkation take place in the Port of Palma, at the dock used by tourist passenger vessels located directly in front of the Auditorium on the Paseo Marítimo. The meeting point is central and easy to reach on foot, by taxi, or via public transport.
Clear boarding instructions are provided after booking to help you arrive with enough time to check in before departure.
No sailing experience is required. This excursion is suitable for couples, families, and groups looking for a shorter, social cruise with swimming and food included.
Guests should be comfortable spending several hours on a boat and entering the water via ladder. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, particularly during the swim stop.
This cruise is designed for those who want a lighter, late-afternoon experience that balances sailing, swimming, and food without committing to a full day. The single extended stop keeps the pace relaxed and easy to follow.
The focus is on practical comfort and responsible operation, with sailing prioritised when conditions allow and reusable cups used on board. The result is a simple, well-paced experience that works equally well as a first-time catamaran trip or a laid-back afternoon on the water.
The excursion lasts approximately three and a half hours from boarding to return. It runs as an afternoon trip, departing at 15:30 and returning around 19:00.
This timing makes it easy to combine with other plans earlier in the day.
