Horseback Ride in Punta Cana

Round-trip hotel pickup and drop-off in the Punta Cana area is included with your booking. Collection times depend on your hotel location and the scheduled departure, and are confirmed after you book with your accommodation details.

Cap Cana pickups are coordinated at the Cap Cana Main Tourist Entrance near Centro Comercial Las Canas. Some properties may require a designated meeting point or additional transfer arrangement.

Riding time is about one hour and thirty minutes on the trail, plus transfers to and from the ranch. The pace alternates between walking and trotting sections depending on rider confidence, with a guide assessing skills before you head toward the coast.

Total time away from your hotel is usually longer than the saddle time alone because of pickup routing and tack fitting at the ranch. Guides keep the group together and allow photo stops without rushing the return transfer.

The minimum participation age is five years. Children aged five to twelve must ride under the direct supervision of a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult. Guests aged thirteen and older may ride their own horse, subject to the guide's assessment, the assigned horse and all safety instructions.

Participants under eighteen must remain accompanied throughout the experience. A minimum of two guests is required to confirm a shared departure.

Complete beginners are welcome from five years old with adult supervision. Guides match horses to experience and start at a walk until everyone is comfortable with reins, posture and stopping cues in the warm-up area.

Faster gaits are optional and only introduced when the group and trail conditions allow safe riding toward Macao Beach. Staff stay close on foot or horseback to support nervous riders on narrower sections.

Wear long trousers, closed shoes or boots, sunscreen and a hat that ties on or fits under a helmet. Avoid sandals, flip-flops and dangling jewellery that could catch on tack or branches along the trail.

Bring water and a camera if you want photos, secured to your body or left with staff when riding on the beach section. Light gloves can help with grip if you have sensitive hands on longer trotting stretches.

Rides run year-round on scheduled dates when trails and beach access are safe. Heavy rain, lightning or rough surf at Macao may lead to a change of date or route if conditions are unsafe.

Light wind on the beach is normal; guides adjust the route or shorten beach time if sand or waves make riding unsuitable. Morning and late-afternoon departures often offer the most comfortable temperatures.

This product requires a minimum of two guests to confirm a shared departure. Solo travellers can still book; the operator will merge you with another rider or small group on the same date when schedules allow.

If no partner party is available, you may be offered an alternative date or a private supplement. Contact the team after booking if you are travelling alone and want to confirm pairing before your travel day.

Shared groups can include up to fifteen riders plus guides on foot or horseback. Larger parties above usual capacity may be accommodated when availability allows.

For groups of twenty or more participants, please send an enquiry so availability and operational coordination can be confirmed before you travel.

Helmets are provided at the ranch and fitted before you mount. Staff adjust chin straps and check that headwear sits level; ask for a different size if yours feels loose or tight before leaving the yard.

Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended on trail and beach sections, especially for less experienced riders. If you prefer your own riding hat, bring it only if it meets safety standards and fits your booked horse's routine tack.

Booking assistance is available in Spanish, English, German and French. The operating language of the tour is subject to the assigned guide and should be confirmed when booking.

Mixed-language groups are common in Punta Cana. Lead guides repeat key safety instructions and route cues so everyone understands when to walk, trot or pause for photos toward Macao Beach.
