Board a yellow rigid inflatable boat for a 45-minute or 99-minute run along Dubai Marina and the Palm coast. You sit in a life jacket while the skipper covers marina towers, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Bluewaters Island and Ain Dubai, with Burj Al Arab and Atlantis The Palm often in view on the longer slot. The ride is shared and open, so expect speed, spray and other guests in the rows beside you.
After hotel collection or arrival at the Jumeirah Beach meeting point, the crew fit life jackets and talk through seating, spray and photo stops. You then board the yellow inflatable and leave the shoreline for the marina channel.
The shorter run stays closer to Dubai Marina and the nearest towers. The 99-minute slot adds more time along JBR, Bluewaters and Ain Dubai, with Burj Al Arab and Atlantis The Palm often in view. The skipper weaves around harbour traffic and may slow for photos when the water is steady.
The meeting point is Jumeirah Beach in Dubai, on the same coastal strip as the marina and JBR. You start on the sand and waterfront rather than at a hotel lobby unless you chose a transfer rate, in which case a driver brings you to that beach meeting point.
From the boat the shoreline reads as marina towers, the JBR promenade, Bluewaters Island and Ain Dubai. Further along you may see Burj Al Arab and Atlantis The Palm. The water here is working harbour as well as a tourist run, so the skipper weaves around other traffic.
You must be 3 or over and bring a passport. No boating skill is needed, but you should be happy sitting on a fast inflatable that can bump in chop.
Supervise children for the whole trip and keep them in a life jacket. Follow the crew on seating, holding on and when it is safe to turn for a photo.
Two lengths are available, so you can pick a 45-minute marina loop or a 99-minute coastal run without changing the meeting point. Transfer rates add hotel collection, and the crew brief every departure before the boat leaves the beach.
The yellow inflatable is low to the water and faster than a cabin cruiser, which makes the marina and JBR skyline feel close. You get a skipper-led circuit rather than a self-drive session, with life jackets and a seating plan set before the engine starts.
A driver collects you from your Dubai hotel if your rate includes transfer, or you make your own way to the Jumeirah Beach meeting point. The crew check passports, fit life jackets and run a short briefing on seating and spray before anyone boards. Arrive a little early so the boat is not held. Keep phones in a dry bag until the crew say the water is steady.
The yellow inflatable leaves the shoreline and enters Dubai Marina. Stay seated while the skipper works through other traffic, then look up at the towers that line the canal as you move toward open water. Hold the ropes the crew pointed out in the briefing. Arms stay inside the tubes while the boat is under way.
Along Jumeirah Beach Residence you pass the promenade, beach and hotels from the water. The skipper may slow for photos. Keep phones in a dry bag except when the crew say it is steady enough to shoot. Spray is common on this stretch, so clothes that can get damp are the right choice.
Bluewaters Island and Ain Dubai come into view on the longer run, with Burj Al Arab and Atlantis The Palm often visible further along the coast. The 45-minute ticket may only glimpse this stretch, so choose 99 minutes if those landmarks matter to you. Exact order depends on traffic and sea state. Stay seated unless the crew ask you to turn for a photo.
The boat returns to the Jumeirah Beach meeting point. Hand the life jacket to the crew, collect belongings, and use your own onward transport unless a transfer rate included the ride to your hotel. Wait until the engine is off before you stand. The same beach is where the hour started.
No boating skill is required. You sit in a life jacket on a rigid inflatable boat while a skipper drives the route. The crew run a safety briefing before you leave, covering how to sit, where to hold on, and what to do if spray comes over the bow.
You should still be happy on a fast, open boat that turns and slows for photos. If motion sickness is a problem, sit where the crew suggest rather than standing for the whole run. Keep phones in a dry bag except when the crew say the water is steady enough for a photo.
This is an easy sightseeing ride rather than a sports session. You walk to the boat, sit through the briefing, and hold on while the skipper covers Dubai Marina, JBR and Bluewaters. There is no swimming or paddling.
The hull can bump in chop, so the physical demand is sitting through those jolts and holding the ropes the crew point out. Children from age 3 must sit with an adult and wear a life jacket for the whole trip. If you prefer a slower cabin cruise, this open inflatable will feel quicker and wetter.
The minimum age is 3. Younger children cannot join even if an adult holds them, because the boat is open and moves at speed along the marina and coast. Child and adult tickets are sold for those who meet the age rule.
A passport is required when you arrive, so bring identification for every guest. If you are arranging a family visit, choose seats together when you arrive and tell the crew about any child who is nervous of speed or spray.
Wear clothes you do not mind getting damp, plus sunglasses with a retainer, sunscreen and a hat that will stay on. Soft shoes or sandals are better than heels on a wet inflatable tube. A light jacket helps if the boat is running early or late when the breeze picks up.
Bring a passport, a dry bag for phones, and a towel if you want one after spray. Hotel collection is available on transfer rates. If your rate does not include transfer, make your own way to the Jumeirah Beach meeting point named on your confirmation.
Everyone wears a life jacket. The skipper briefs the group, sets the seating order and only leaves when the boat is trimmed. You stay seated unless the crew ask you to turn for a photo, and you keep arms inside the tubes while under way.
If wind or swell is outside a safe range, the departure will wait or move. Listen to the crew, hold the ropes they point out, and wait until the engine is off before anyone stands to step off at the end.
You choose a 45-minute marina run or a 99-minute premium run when you pick your rate. The shorter slot covers Dubai Marina and nearby coast. The longer slot gives more time along JBR, Bluewaters and Ain Dubai. Arrival and the briefing sit on top of the water time.
Hotel collection, if included on your rate, adds travel at both ends. Arrive a little early at the beach meeting point so the boat is not held for one late guest, which shortens everyone else's time on the water.
Departures go ahead on the vast majority of days. Ordinary Dubai heat does not stop the ride, though spray and sun on an open inflatable still feel intense. The skipper watches wind and swell, because chop on a rigid inflatable is a different ride from a cabin yacht.
If wind or swell sits outside a safe range, the departure will wait or move to a later slot. The 45-minute and 99-minute options follow the same weather call. Keep a flexible window after the tour in case the boat is held on the beach.
Plenty of first-timers feel uneasy on a fast inflatable and still enjoy the marina run because they sit in a life jacket, hold the ropes, and let the skipper drive. The briefing is short and practical, so you know where to sit and when to turn for a photo before the engine starts.
Tell the crew if anyone in your group is nervous of speed or prone to motion sickness, so they can seat you more kindly. You stay seated for the run. If a completely still cabin cruise is what you want, this yellow boat will feel quicker and wetter than that.
Hotel collection is offered on the transfer rates. If your 45-minute or 99-minute rate includes transfer, a driver collects you from your Dubai hotel and takes you to the Jumeirah Beach meeting point. Rates without transfer expect you to arrive on your own.
When collection is part of your rate, send your hotel name and a mobile number that works in the UAE. Be ready in the lobby at the time on your confirmation, because marina slots do not wait long in peak traffic.
Once your place is confirmed you receive the time, duration choice and collection notes by email. Reply with guest names as on their passports, your hotel if transfer is included, and any motion-sickness concerns so the crew can seat you kindly.
On the day, bring passports, wear clothes that can take spray, and be at the meeting point or lobby at the confirmed time. If the date needs to change, contact the team rather than arriving at a different departure.
