This week-long package puts you in charge of your own boat on Extremadura's reservoirs, with five days to fish at your own pace rather than following a guide. It suits anglers who already know their way around a boat and would rather explore independently.
Each day starts with breakfast at the lodge before you take your boat out for the day, deciding for yourselves where to fish based on your own reading of conditions. A packed lunch means you can stay out on the water rather than returning to shore.
Unlike the guided packages, this option hands you the boat and lets you plan each day yourselves, choosing which reservoir to fish and for how long. Breakfast and a packed lunch are provided daily, with dinner included on the night you arrive, and permits, fuel and insurance are sorted before you set off.
This package exists for anglers who would rather fish independently than follow a guide, while still having permits, fuel, insurance and accommodation taken care of. It removes the logistics without removing the freedom to fish your own way.
Bruce and the lodge are on hand if you want local pointers, but the week is built around letting you make the calls on where and how to fish. Catch and release is expected throughout, in keeping with how the reservoirs are managed.
You are based at the lodge for the full week, in a room sized for your group with wifi and access to a shared TV room. It is a straightforward, comfortable base to return to after a day of self-directed fishing.
