You'll swim in the bright blue pools at Cool Blue Hole, cool off under Secret Falls, then climb Dunn's River later in the day. We pick you up from your hotel and stay with you for the whole north-coast loop.
Morning is for swimming. At Cool Blue Hole a local guide takes you around the spring-fed pools for a couple of hours. You can try the rope swings, jump from the ledges or duck into a short cave if you fancy it, or just float in the shallows. A five-minute walk through the trees then brings you to Secret Falls, a quieter spot to stand under the water before we drive toward the coast.
Later we head to Dunn's River near Ocho Rios. After a short talk on the beach you hold hands in a line and climb up through the pools on about 600 feet of waterfall. There are places to stop for photos, and you can leave the climb earlier if anyone has had enough. Pack water shoes for the wet rock all day. We usually spend about ninety minutes at the falls park, including the briefing. On the drives your driver may point out Rose Hall and Greenwood from the road.
The three stops sit on one loop along the north coast. Cool Blue Hole and Secret Falls are inland between Saint Mary and Saint Ann. Dunn's River is on the shore at Ocho Rios. We do the mountain pools first and finish at the famous climb, so you get all three in one day.
We collect you from hotels in Montego Bay, Runaway Bay, Falmouth and the Grand Palladium area. The start time depends on where you are staying. Water shoes help at every stop because the rock gets slippery once it is wet.
You must be comfortable swimming in deep natural water and walking on potentially slippery rocks. Your guide can give you a hand on the slick bits. Bring water shoes and a towel so you can hop from the van into each waterfall, and put your phone in a pouch if you want photos in the water.
If anyone in the group is unsure about the climb or gets tired easily, tell us beforehand so we can take Dunn's River a bit slower and use the easier exits. Children should stay close to an adult in the pools and on the falls.

We leave proper time at each cascade so you can actually swim, not just pose for a photo and leave. The local guides at Dunn's River and Cool Blue Hole are used to mixed groups, even when the parks are busy.
We pick you up in the hotel lobby and drive east while your driver talks through the order for the day: Blue Hole, Secret Falls, then Dunn's River. The first stretch along the coast through Runaway Bay is a nice one for photos if you keep a camera close.
Have your towel and water shoes near the top of your bag so you can walk straight into Cool Blue Hole. Wearing swimwear under your clothes makes that first change quicker after the ride.
A local guide meets you at Cool Blue Hole for about two hours in that bright mineral water. Rope swings and ledge jumps are there if you want them, and there are short cave dips too. The pools are different depths, so you can stay shallow or work up to the bigger jumps.
This is the playful part of the morning, so we do not rush it. There is usually space on the rock edges for photos between swims, then we take the short walk to Secret Falls.
It is only about five minutes through the trees to Secret Falls. The water is cooler here after the brighter Blue Hole pools. You can stand under the cascade, take a quieter photo and let everyone catch their breath.
We keep this stop easy because it is the last inland swim of the morning. Once you are dry enough, we drive on to Ocho Rios for Dunn's River.
