You'll swim in the bright blue pools at Cool Blue Hole, cool off under Secret Falls, then climb Dunn's River later in the day. We pick you up from your hotel and stay with you for the whole north-coast loop.
Morning is for swimming. At Cool Blue Hole a local guide takes you around the spring-fed pools for a couple of hours. You can try the rope swings, jump from the ledges or duck into a short cave if you fancy it, or just float in the shallows. A five-minute walk through the trees then brings you to Secret Falls, a quieter spot to stand under the water before we drive toward the coast.
Later we head to Dunn's River near Ocho Rios. After a short talk on the beach you hold hands in a line and climb up through the pools on about 600 feet of waterfall. There are places to stop for photos, and you can leave the climb earlier if anyone has had enough. Pack water shoes for the wet rock all day. We usually spend about ninety minutes at the falls park, including the briefing. On the drives your driver may point out Rose Hall and Greenwood from the road.
The three stops sit on one loop along the north coast. Cool Blue Hole and Secret Falls are inland between Saint Mary and Saint Ann. Dunn's River is on the shore at Ocho Rios. We do the mountain pools first and finish at the famous climb, so you get all three in one day.
We collect you from hotels in Montego Bay, Runaway Bay, Falmouth and the Grand Palladium area. The start time depends on where you are staying. Water shoes help at every stop because the rock gets slippery once it is wet.
You must be comfortable swimming in deep natural water and walking on potentially slippery rocks. Your guide can give you a hand on the slick bits. Bring water shoes and a towel so you can hop from the van into each waterfall, and put your phone in a pouch if you want photos in the water.
If anyone in the group is unsure about the climb or gets tired easily, tell us beforehand so we can take Dunn's River a bit slower and use the easier exits. Children should stay close to an adult in the pools and on the falls.
You get one driver, three waterfalls and the park entries already sorted, so you are not hunting for tickets or taxis on holiday. Briefings are short and we get you in the water quickly. Our drivers do this Saint Ann to Ocho Rios run most days.
We leave proper time at each cascade so you can actually swim, not just pose for a photo and leave. The local guides at Dunn's River and Cool Blue Hole are used to mixed groups, even when the parks are busy.
We pick you up in the hotel lobby and drive east while your driver talks through the order for the day: Blue Hole, Secret Falls, then Dunn's River. The first stretch along the coast through Runaway Bay is a nice one for photos if you keep a camera close.
Have your towel and water shoes near the top of your bag so you can walk straight into Cool Blue Hole. Wearing swimwear under your clothes makes that first change quicker after the ride.
A local guide meets you at Cool Blue Hole for about two hours in that bright mineral water. Rope swings and ledge jumps are there if you want them, and there are short cave dips too. The pools are different depths, so you can stay shallow or work up to the bigger jumps.
This is the playful part of the morning, so we do not rush it. There is usually space on the rock edges for photos between swims, then we take the short walk to Secret Falls.
It is only about five minutes through the trees to Secret Falls. The water is cooler here after the brighter Blue Hole pools. You can stand under the cascade, take a quieter photo and let everyone catch their breath.
We keep this stop easy because it is the last inland swim of the morning. Once you are dry enough, we drive on to Ocho Rios for Dunn's River.
On the beach a falls guide talks you through the climb and the waiver, then you link hands and walk up through the pools on the 600-foot cascade. There are natural pools to rest in, and you can step off mid-way if you want a shorter finish.
Plan on about ninety minutes in the park, including that first talk. Water shoes make the wet rock much easier. There is usually a few minutes at the top or the exit before we walk back to the van.
The ride home is air-conditioned and we drop you at the same hotel. You will probably want a dry shirt and some water in the van after a day of sun and spray.
Your driver will confirm the drop-off spot before you leave Ocho Rios. If traffic has made the day run long, they will tell you rather than leaving you waiting.
We collect you from your hotel in Montego Bay, Runaway Bay, Falmouth or the Grand Palladium corridor. Share your property name when you book so the driver can confirm the pickup window.
Return drop-off uses the same hotel at the end of the day.
We collect guests from hotels in Montego Bay, Runaway Bay, Falmouth and along the Grand Palladium corridor. Tell us your property name when you reserve so we can confirm the morning pickup window.
Return drop-off is at the same hotel unless you arrange something different with your driver on the day.
Plan roughly two hours around Cool Blue Hole and Secret Falls, then about ninety minutes at Dunn's River Falls including the safety talk and climb. Traffic and crowd levels can shift those times a little.
Your driver aims to keep the day balanced so you still have proper time in the water at every stop.
Water shoes make limestone ledges and terraced rock much easier to grip. We do not usually provide them, so pack a pair that drains quickly.
Sandals are fine in the van but less secure once you are on wet stone at the falls. Message us before travel if you want any detail double-checked so pickup and timing feel clear on the day.
Families often enjoy this day together. Younger swimmers should stay close to an adult in the pools, and anyone who prefers a shorter climb can leave the Dunn's River chain at marked exits.
Let us know the ages in your group when you book so we can plan seating and timing comfortably.
Lunch is not always built into the schedule, though there are usually chances to buy snacks or a simple meal near the route. Ask when you book if you want a dedicated lunch stop added.
Bring a little cash if you like to grab fruit or a cold drink between swims. Message us before travel if you want any detail double-checked so pickup and timing feel clear on the day.
Light rain is common in the tropics and the falls still run beautifully. If conditions become unsafe on the rock, guides may slow the climb or adjust the order of stops.
Keep your phone handy on travel morning in case the driver sends an updated pickup time.
The climb is moderate and you move in a human chain with a resident guide. There are natural pools to rest in and you may step out early if you have had enough.
Reasonable fitness and sure footing help, and your guide can suggest handholds that suit your confidence level.
Many guests bring a phone in a waterproof pouch for pool and falls shots. Independent photographers at Blue Hole can also take photos for an optional fee if you prefer not to risk your own device.
Secure straps help on the climb where your hands stay wet. Message us before travel if you want any detail double-checked so pickup and timing feel clear on the day.
Admissions for the sites covered by your reservation are included when you book this package. Your confirmation email lists exactly which entries are part of your day.
If you add optional extras on site, those are paid locally. Message us before travel if you want any detail double-checked so pickup and timing feel clear on the day.
Pickup is usually in the morning and depends on your hotel location. We confirm the window after you book so you can meet the driver in the lobby on time.
Wearing swimwear under casual clothes makes the first stop quicker once you arrive at Blue Hole.

Whether you want waterfall climbs, lagoon evenings, safari boats on the Black River, or a mix of culture and coast, we keep pickup simple and the day moving at a relaxed island pace.
Our drivers and guides live and work in the communities we visit, so you get clear briefings, honest timing, and help choosing the right outing for your hotel base. We focus on safe transport, included admissions where the package allows, and time in the water and on the trails rather than rushed photo stops.
