Combining kayaking and snorkelling into one memorable experience, this coastal adventure allows you to explore Tenerife from both above and below the water. Paddle along the shoreline, visit impressive coastal cliffs and discover marine life in an area known for regular turtle sightings.
Your adventure begins at the waterfront in Los Cristianos, where you'll meet your guide and receive a full briefing covering kayak techniques, safety procedures and the route for the excursion. After being fitted with your equipment, you'll launch from the beach and start paddling along Tenerife's southern coastline.
The first section of the journey takes you towards the rocky coastline of Palm-Mar. As you paddle across the calm Atlantic waters, you'll enjoy views of the volcanic shoreline and surrounding coastal scenery. The route is suitable for beginners, making it a great option for families, couples and groups of friends looking for an active experience on the water.
After around 30 minutes of kayaking, you'll arrive at the cliffs near Palm-Mar, an area regularly visited by sea turtles. Here, the kayaks are secured while you enter the water for a guided snorkelling session. Accompanied by your instructor, you'll explore the underwater environment and search for turtles, fish and other marine life that inhabit the area. The rocky coastline and underwater formations create excellent conditions for marine encounters, making every trip slightly different from the last.
Following the snorkelling stop, you'll return to the kayaks and continue exploring the coastline before paddling back towards Los Cristianos. Once ashore, you'll have the opportunity to view the photographs taken during the excursion and relive the highlights of your time on the water.

Sea turtles are regularly spotted in the Palm-Mar area, which is one of the reasons this route is so popular. The combination of rocky coastline and favourable marine conditions makes it a habitat frequently visited by these animals.
As turtles are wild animals living in their natural environment, sightings can never be guaranteed. However, encounters occur regularly enough that many visitors choose this specific excursion for the opportunity to see them.
