Before the resort beaches get busy, gather your group on a private llaut as the first light touches Mahón's harbour. Your captain steers toward calm water while you take in the quiet of the port waking up, ideal for a special occasion or a gentle start to the day together.
Arrive at the berth in good time, step aboard the llaut reserved for your group, and listen to the captain's safety overview and plan for the morning. Many sunrise trips begin in the lee of the harbour and only venture toward an open cove if the sea is flat enough for a quick swim or paddle before you head back ashore.
Light builds quickly at this hour, so there is still room to spread out on deck, share a picnic if you brought one, and watch the coastline sharpen into colour. Boards and masks are ready when the crew are happy with conditions, and return times are agreed up front so the rest of your day stays free.
The port of Mahón sits on Menorca's east side, where deep water and sheltered channels make an early start feasible even when the open sea is livelier later in the day. We use Moll de Llevant as the regular pontoon, which keeps the walk from parking short when you are still half asleep.
Captains pick morning anchorages with comfort in mind, favouring smooth water and a clear view toward the horizon rather than long transits. If the breeze builds, the route tightens to stay inside safe, pleasant water rather than pushing into uncomfortable swell.
Complete beginners are welcome; the professional crew handles navigation and boat handling throughout. You should feel at ease on deck, follow simple safety guidance, and be willing to enter the water briefly if you want a dip in warmer months.
When you send your request, include headcount, children's ages, and anything we should know about mobility so the right boat and jackets are ready. Each hull has a firm maximum number of guests under its licence.
Daybreak slots are short, so it pays to sail with people who know which corners of the harbour stay smooth at 06:00. The fleet is based here year round, and sunrise trips use the same well-maintained llauts and kit as longer charters.
Because the boat is yours alone, there is no jostling for rail space or sharing the moment with strangers. Pack a light breakfast, bring a camera if you like, and let the crew worry about lines, timing and the route back to the pontoon.
Meet at Moll de Llevant in the early morning, board your assigned llaut and stow any picnic bags while the captain runs through safety and the route.
Guest counts are checked against the licence limit for your boat before departure.
Cruise toward a sheltered anchorage or stay within the harbour depending on the wind. Pause for a swim or paddle when the sea is calm and the light is still soft.
Your captain finds a spot with a clear view as the sun climbs above the horizon.
Return to Mahón with the crew's help at the pontoon. Collect personal items from deck storage before you leave the marina for the rest of your day.
Your confirmation notes the expected return time so you can plan meals and activities ashore.
The experience is built around roughly three hours on the water, leaving Mahón at 06:00 so you are aboard as the light builds. That window is long enough for a calm cruise, a possible swim stop and time on deck without taking the whole morning.
Your confirmation states the expected return time once the request is approved, so you can plan breakfast or other plans ashore afterwards.
We assign whichever llaut in the fleet is free and suited to your group size, up to twelve on the larger hulls or eleven on the mid-size boat. All are traditional Menorcan llauts with the same safety kit and crew standards.
If a particular boat matters for a celebration, say so in your message and we will check the diary before we confirm.
Departure is scheduled for 06:00 from Mahón harbour on Moll de Llevant unless we agree a small seasonal adjustment when you book. Arrive a little early so the safety briefing and boarding do not eat into your time on the water.
Seasonal sunrise shifts slightly through the year, but the aim stays the same: be underway in the early calm before the port gets busy.
The charter option covers your private llaut, paddle boards, snorkel kit and tableware if you bring food or hot drinks.
Fuel and skipper appear as separate extras at checkout for this trip. Optional delivered breakfast can be arranged through local partners if you ask when you confirm.
Meet at Moll de Llevant in the port of Mahón. We send pontoon or berth details in your confirmation email so you are not searching the marina in the half-light.
Parking close to the port is limited at dawn in peak season, so factor in a short walk from the nearest spaces. The crew's phone number is on the booking if you need directions on the day.
Young sailors are welcome with an adult responsible for them at all times. Jackets are on board in children's sizes and the captain keeps the route gentle for morning trips.
Let us know ages when you request a date so everything is ready before you step aboard. Very young children may prefer to stay seated on deck rather than swim, depending on conditions.
Thick cloud can mute the colours, but you still get a quiet private morning afloat with time on deck and a swim if the sea allows. Many guests value the calm of the port at that hour even when the sky is grey.
If conditions are unsafe, we offer another morning in your stay rather than forcing an uncomfortable departure.
Bring whatever breakfast or snacks you like, plus drinks in sensible containers. Galley tableware is provided so you can eat on deck while the light changes.
We do not sell food on the boat. Some cafés and suppliers can deliver to the pontoon with enough notice, and we can point you to options when your date is confirmed.
You do not need any boating experience because the crew handles navigation and boat handling throughout. Comfortable clothing, soft shoes and a layer for the breeze are enough for most of the year.
Mention mobility or boarding concerns when you book so we assign a suitable llaut and allow time at the pontoon. Entering the water is optional if you only want to watch from deck.
Choose your date and group size here and send the request. We check the fleet calendar and either approve or suggest the closest available sunrise morning.
July and August mornings book quickly, so earlier requests give you a better choice of date. We reply through Adventuro once the slot is held for review.

About the centre
Mahón
From Mahón harbour we run private charters on traditional Menorcan llauts, with skippers who know the island's coves and the rhythm of the port. Friends, families and small groups come to us for swim stops, snorkelling, paddle boarding and unhurried time on deck while the east coast opens up beyond the breakwater.
Three boats in the fleet cover different group sizes and deck space, from compact day hires to longer sails and short sunrise or sunset slots. Snorkel and paddle kit is ready on board, picnics are welcome in the galley, and we shape each trip around the weather and what your group wants from the day.
