Snowshoes go on at your stay, then you follow your guide through birch forest and open fell close to Levi, on a private walk from one guest. About two hours includes fitting the shoes, an easy loop, and a stop for warm drinks and cinnamon buns on the trail. Collection is from your accommodation, and we finish at the same door.
Fitting the snowshoes happens at your stay, with a short demonstration of how to walk in them, then winter clothing for the outing goes over your own base layer. Local forest tracks or a gentle fell section follow, depending on the snow and the pace you asked for. Tell us before collection if you want the gentlest loop or a slightly longer one, so the shoes go on with that already decided.
Hot drinks and cinnamon buns eaten outside sit in the middle of the walk, then you return to the door where the shoes went on. Private from one guest, the stop and the line sit with your group. Two hours stay on snow rather than in a van, because the shoes go on at the door.
Birch forest and a gentle fell edge around Levi and Sirkka stay close enough that the whole walk fits an easy half-day from the village. Quiet places to stand with a bun are part of the setting when the snow allows. Resort streets fall behind after the first stretch of trees, then you are on snow among birch.
Local walking ground for this outing is Levi and Sirkka in Finnish Lapland. Shoes go on at your door, so the two hours stay on snow rather than in a transfer to another valley. Same stay is where you finish, which is why the loop stays close to the village for an easy half-day on snow.
Snowshoeing beforehand is not required, because the fitting at the door includes a short explanation before you walk. Comfortable walking on snow for most of the two hours is the main ask, and children from age four need an adult. Wide shoes feel odd for a few minutes, then the step usually settles once you are moving.
Wool or synthetic base layers and shoes the bindings can strap to belong in the bag, rather than smooth-soled boots. Share bun allergies, and say if you prefer the gentlest forest line. An easy loop close to Levi suits people who want time on snow without a long transfer.
Pace and the bun stop are set for your group rather than a mixed public line, because the walk is private. Snowshoes, winter kit, drinks and buns are included, which means you pack a base layer and sensible shoes. Guides fit the shoes at the door and stay with you to the last cup.
Starting at your stay keeps the two hours on snow instead of in a van. Gentler forest lines or a slightly longer one can be asked for before you set off, which is easier on a private walk. Same person who fits the shoes leads the loop and brings you home.
We collect you in Levi, fit snowshoes at your stay, and spend a few minutes on how to step and turn. The briefing happens at the door so you are not learning the binding halfway up a slope.
You follow your guide on forest tracks or open fell at an easy pace chosen for your group, with winter kit keeping you comfortable in the daylight snow.
Warm drinks and cinnamon buns pause the walk midway, eaten outside rather than back in the village. Then you return to the same accommodation where the adventure began.
Plan on about two hours from collection at your accommodation to drop-off at the same address. That includes fitting snowshoes, the loop on forest or fell near Levi, and the stop for warm drinks and cinnamon buns.
The outing is private and can start from one guest. Send your party size when you reserve so we bring the right number of shoes and treats.
No. Your guide shows you how to step and turn before you leave, and the pace stays easy unless you asked for a slightly hillier line in advance.
Children from age four are welcome with an adult. Mention if anyone has never worn snowshoes so we allow time for a calm fitting at the door.
Warm drinks and cinnamon buns are served on the trail during the pause. They are a hearty outdoor snack, not a full restaurant meal, so eat beforehand if you need more than buns between meals.
Tell us about allergies when you reserve. The buns are prepared ahead for your group size.
We meet you at your Levi accommodation, fit the shoes there, and walk from your door. There is no separate meeting point in the village to find in the cold.
Send a full address and a mobile number that works during your stay. A clear pickup point keeps the two-hour clock on the trail rather than on circling the resort.
We provide snowshoes and winter clothing for the outing. You bring a warm base layer and footwear the bindings can grip.
Wool or synthetic layers beat cotton, which cools quickly when you stop for buns. Mention balance or knee limits so your guide chooses a suitable loop.
The walk is private for your party. Share the number of guests when you reserve so kit and snacks match the group.
Children from age four walk with an adult. Ages help your guide judge whether an open fell section suits everyone.
Cancel at least 72 hours before your start time for a full refund. Inside that window, or if you are not ready at pickup, the guide and equipment held for your private group stay charged.
If snow or wind suggests a shorter or alternate loop, we call the mobile on your booking. Keep that phone on during your stay.
Snowshoes spread your weight so soft snow holds you, and this loop is designed as an easy introduction. Your guide stays with the group and can turn for home sooner if the snow is heavier than it looked from the village.
Say in advance if you want the gentlest forest line only. We match the trail to you before the shoes are chosen.
Professional photography is an optional extra if you want someone else handling the camera while your hands are on poles or a cup.
Your own photos are welcome when the group pauses. Walking and filming at the same time is how snowshoes tangle.
We need names, children's ages, your Levi address, a mobile number, and any bun allergies. Those notes are how we bring the right shoes and treats.
Say if you prefer the gentlest loop or a slightly longer line, and whether anyone is new to snowshoes, so the fitting is not rushed in the cold.
