The tour begins with hotel pick-up for participants staying outside the city centre. Upon arrival at the starting point, guides provide thermal clothing, helmet, gloves, balaclava, and boots. You will receive a safety briefing and driving instructions to prepare you for the ride. Small groups ensure personalised attention and maximum safety.
Once ready, you’ll follow your guide on well-maintained snowmobile tracks through snowy forests and open areas. Stops are made along the route to enjoy the quiet beauty of the Taiga and capture photos. The safari begins near Rovaniemi, in a snowy wilderness accessible from the city. The surrounding forests provide scenic trails, offering both wide-open spaces and dense Taiga areas for a balanced snowmobiling experience.
Pick-ups are available from select hotels and resorts, with additional fees for locations further from the city centre. Guests staying in Rovaniemi city centre are asked to walk to the office to start the tour, supporting sustainable travel practices and reducing environmental impact.
Participants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid physical driving license (A1, T, A or B category). It’s important to bring the license, as Finnish law requires it to operate a snowmobile legally.
