Spend a private day on snowmobiles through forest, frozen lakes and fell tracks around Levi, with a warm lunch in the middle of the ride. Choose about five hours if you are new to the machines, or about eight hours if you already ride confidently and want more distance before and after the meal. Both days start and finish at your accommodation in Levi.
Both days include your guide, winter kit, collection in Levi, and a sit-down meal off the machines. The difference is how long you are on the track, and which length fits the least confident driver in your group.
Briefing and licence checks happen in Levi, along with heights, before winter kit goes over your own base layer. Licensed drivers take the machines, passengers need 140 cm to ride behind, and a smaller child can use the guide's sled when it is available. Tell us who is driving and who is riding as a passenger so the machines match the group before you leave the village.
Riding through forest and onto frozen sections fills the day, with pauses so the group stays together, then lunch is a proper stop in the middle, long enough to eat rather than a snack on the seat. After the meal you ride on, and we return you to your accommodation; the shorter day keeps the circuit tighter, while the longer day uses the extra hours on new ground rather than riding the same loop twice. Share dietary needs for lunch when you book, because the meal is part of both days.
Snow-covered forest, frozen lakes and fell tracks make up the Levi and Sirkka riding ground. Resort streets fall behind once the first kilometres are done, so most of the day is countryside rather than village. Levi is a winter resort in Finnish Lapland, and Sirkka sits beside it as the village this riding ground uses.
Half days still leave the village, and full days go further, which is why lunch sits in the middle of the ride rather than at a cafe you could walk to from your hotel. Frozen sections are used when the ice allows, and forest and fell tracks make up the rest of the line. Lit circuits next to the hotels are not where either length of day stays.
Drivers bring a physical licence to the briefing, and passengers need 140 cm to sit on a machine. Children need to be at least four, and no earlier snowmobile time is required on the five-hour day. Eight-hour days are for riders who already feel confident, so choose the shorter circuit if this is a first time on the throttle.
Long hours on the machines with a sit-down meal in the middle mean a warm base layer under the suit we provide. Share dietary needs for lunch, and tell us who is driving and who is riding as a passenger. Heights matter for the pillion seats, so send them when you reserve rather than guessing on the morning.
Length is yours to pick so it matches the group, and both days are private, with lunch included rather than a snack on the seat. Winter clothing and the machines come with the booking, and the same guide stays with you from the briefing to the last kilometre home. Collection from your stay is part of both days, so you are not finding a depot before a long ride.
Five-hour days are paced for the least confident driver, which is why they work as a first snowmobile day. Eight-hour days are for people who already ride and want more varied ground, not a longer version of the same first loop. Either way you eat off the machines in the middle, then ride on before heading home.
We collect you in Levi, check licences and the 140 cm passenger rule, and brief the controls before the day commits to the longer track. Five hour and eight hour groups are kitted the same way. Distance comes after everyone is ready.
Your guide confirms who drives, who rides pillion, and who uses the sled so the right machines leave together.
You follow your guide through forest, frozen sections, and fell tracks with regroups so the line does not split. The eight hour option stays out longer and covers more changes of ground than the five hour ride.
Pace stays with the least confident rider on the shorter day, while confident groups on the full day can push further between pauses.
Lunch is a warm stop in the middle of the ride, not a snack on the seat. After you eat we ride back and finish at the same Levi accommodation, whether you booked the five hour day or the eight hour day.
Drop-off uses the address we collected you from, with time to change out of overalls before the rest of your evening plans.
Both options include lunch and a private guide. The five hour ride is our half day: out, a warm meal, and back, and it suits a first-time driver after the briefing. The eight hour ride is for people who already feel comfortable on a snowmobile and want more distance and more changes of terrain.
Select the length when you book. They are not the same loop ridden more slowly. The longer day leaves Levi further behind before you sit down to eat.
Drivers must carry a physical licence checked before we move. Passengers need 140 cm to sit on a snowmobile. Children under four are generally not on the ride. A smaller child can use the guide's sled when that sled is part of the day.
Send heights with your booking. On an eight hour day a passenger short of 140 cm cannot simply move onto the machine after lunch because the rule still applies on the return leg.
Both lengths start at your Levi accommodation. The briefing happens with the kit before the first long section, so you are not hunting for a depot in ski boots.
Your address and a mobile number belong on the booking. The eight hour day in particular needs a number you will answer, because you are out for most of the daylight.
Yes, on both the five hour and eight hour adventure. It is a warm stop part way through the ride, so you are off the machines long enough to eat before the return.
The dish follows what is planned for that day rather than a fixed menu printed here. Allergies and dietary limits should arrive with your booking so the meal works for everyone at the table.
We provide overalls, boots, gloves, helmet, and a balaclava when you need it. The base layer is yours. On the eight hour option you are outside long enough that cotton next to the skin becomes a problem by the afternoon, even with a good suit over it.
Wool or synthetic layers and a spare pair of socks in a pocket are useful extras. The outer kit is already sorted when we meet you.
Choose five hours if this is your first snowmobile day. The briefing covers the controls, and the distance is one a new rider can finish without the last hour becoming a chore. Your guide still leads throughout.
Choose eight hours if you already know the throttle and you want extra terrain. We describe that length for confident drivers, not as a slower version of the beginner circuit.
Yes, from one guest, on either length. The machines and guide are for your party alone, which on a full day matters when you stop for lunch as a group rather than with strangers.
Say who drives and who sits. An eight hour allocation of snowmobiles is hard to change on the morning if extra drivers appear without notice.
Give us 72 hours notice and the day is refunded in full. Inside that window, or if you do not show for collection, the guide, machines, and lunch stop stay charged.
Confirm you selected five or eight hours before you pay. If weather closes a section, we call the mobile on your booking to adjust timing or routing.
A photographer is an extra, separate from the tour price. On an eight hour day that can mean pictures at the lunch stop instead of nobody remembering to take them on the track.
Your own camera is welcome when the guide has stopped the line. Shooting while the track is moving is not part of either option.
We need names, ages, heights, your Levi address, a mobile number, lunch requirements, and confirmation that every driver will bring a physical licence. Tell us whether you booked five or eight hours if both appear for your dates.
The longer day is where a bad seating plan is hardest to undo once we leave, so send who drives and who rides as passenger before the morning.
