Share a relaxed two-hour cruise around Capri's spectacular coastline, with a licensed skipper guiding the group past caves, coves and the Faraglioni. It is an easy way to experience the island from the sea, with fresh air, clear-water views and time to enjoy the journey together.
Board the shared boat and follow the coastline with a licensed skipper, who points out the features that make Capri so striking from offshore. The route may include views of the White, Coral, Tragara and Green grottos, Marina Piccola and the Faraglioni. As the boat moves between cliff-lined sections and open water, there is time to take photographs, enjoy the sea air and see how the island's rock formations connect to one another.
When conditions allow, the group pauses in clear water for a swim of around 20 minutes. This is a refreshing counterpoint to the sightseeing, though guests are also welcome to remain on board and relax. Local limoncello and snacks are served during the trip, while the skipper adjusts the route and swim location according to the wind, swell and safety conditions of the day.
Capri's coast is shaped by steep limestone cliffs, narrow coves and sea caves that are best appreciated from the water. Leaving the harbour opens a wider view of the island and the Bay of Naples, with each headland revealing a different combination of rock, colour and sheltered water. The boat provides a close, comfortable perspective on scenery that is difficult to reach from land.
Sea conditions and light give the route a different character each day. Sheltered sections can glow turquoise, while open views make the Faraglioni feel even more dramatic against the horizon. The skipper uses local knowledge to choose the most enjoyable water and keep the group comfortable, so the experience responds naturally to the coast rather than following an inflexible circuit.
No boating experience is required because the licensed skipper manages navigation, route selection and practical safety throughout. Guests should be comfortable boarding a small boat and spending time outdoors near water. The activity is easy-going, but people who are sensitive to motion may wish to take their usual precautions before departing the harbour.
Bring swimwear and a towel if you would like to join a possible swim, along with sunscreen, sunglasses and a light cover-up. Secure footwear is useful at the harbour and on deck. Children can take part when accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult, who should consider their confidence around water and the suitability of the shared setting.
This shared trip combines classic coastal landmarks with a friendly, sociable atmosphere. A group size of up to 12 keeps the boat lively without feeling crowded, while the skipper's knowledge adds shape and context to the scenery. The mix of caves, rock formations and a possible swim offers a well-rounded introduction to Capri's water-level character.
Two hours makes it an accessible coastal escape that still feels full of variety. You can enjoy a local drink and snack, chat with fellow travellers or take quiet photographs as the island moves past. By adapting the route to the sea state, the skipper focuses on the places that will feel most comfortable and memorable that day.
