On a private visit arranged on request, you drive your own husky sled for ten kilometres of snow near Levi, with your musher beside you on the trail. About two hours includes time at the farm and hot drinks and snacks in a teepee after the run. Two-course lunches can be added when you book, and the price depends on whether you are one to four, five to eight, or nine guests.
Farm time starts after collection in Levi, where you meet the dogs and get a briefing on the brake before you take the lines. Then you drive about ten kilometres while the musher stays alongside, at a pace kept sensible for first-time drivers. Tell us who wants to stand on the runners so the sleds match your group.
Time with the dogs follows the sled, then you warm up in a teepee with drinks and snacks. Two-course lunches only appear if you added them when you reserved, and we bring you back to your stay afterwards. Transfers sit inside the two hours, so pickup and the drive back are part of the visit rather than extra on top.
Snow trails leave a husky farm that serves Levi, and the teepee is on the same visit, so you do not change venue mid-afternoon. Local snow country rather than a long transfer into another valley is how ten kilometres and farm time still fit into two hours. Working farms, then forest snow, then the teepee, are the three parts of the ground.
Finnish Lapland holds the farm close enough that the whole visit stays inside those two hours, with Levi as the resort you transfer from. Packed snow under the runners is why this outing is for winter ground. Village streets fall behind once the teams leave the yard.
Mushing beforehand is not required, because the briefing on the brake happens before you take the lines. Share children's ages so we know who can stand on the runners, and you need a steady stance and grippy gloves if you want to drive. Private visits, with prices depending on whether you are one to four, five to eight, or nine guests, mean a true headcount early helps us plan.
Standing on the runners is colder than sitting in a van, so a warm base layer belongs under your clothes. Send snack or lunch allergies, especially if you added the meal, and tell us who wants to stand on the runners rather than sit. Shoes you can stand in on snow are more useful than smooth soles.
Driving the sled yourself, with the musher beside you, is the point, and farm time is part of the visit rather than an extra you book later. Drinks and snacks are included, and the two-course lunch is there if you added it in advance. Collection from your stay is part of the booking, which is why the two hours include the transfer.
Yard and lines are timed to your party rather than a public departure board, because the visit is private and on request. Give us a true headcount early so the sleds match your group. Same musher stays alongside on the trail and through the teepee stop.
We collect you in Levi and at the farm introduce the huskies and the brake before you take the lines. The briefing is for your private group, so first-time drivers get the time they need before the trail.
You drive about ten kilometres on snow with the musher alongside. The pace is suited to first-time drivers in your party, with the dogs doing the work once you understand the brake.
Time with the dogs at the farm leads into hot drinks and snacks in the teepee, with optional lunch only if you added it, before we return you to Levi.
Ten kilometres on the sled fills part of about two hours that also includes dogs at the farm and drinks with snacks in the teepee.
It is private and arranged on request, timed to your group rather than a shared departure.
You take the lines yourself with the musher alongside. No earlier experience is required, though children's ages must be shared before anyone is promised the runners.
Pricing uses bands for one to four, five to eight, and nine guests. Nine is the maximum for this private farm visit.
One week's notice is required to cancel or change with a full refund on husky partner days. Inside that week the fee is non-refundable, including a no-show.
Choose a date you can keep when you pay. Weather trail changes come by phone from the musher.
Hot drinks and snacks in the teepee are included. A two-course lunch is an optional extra added when you reserve.
Send allergies for snacks and for the lunch extra in the same note so the teepee is safe for everyone.
We collect you from your Levi accommodation, take you to the farm, and return after the teepee. You do not need to find the kennel yourself.
A full address and a mobile number matter on a by-request day because the dogs are timed to your group. A missed call is how a private slot starts late.
Wear warm base layers and boots that grip in snow. The farm adds trail kit when the weather needs it, over the clothes you arrive in.
Gloves you can hold the brake with are worth packing. Smooth soles slip on the runners, which is why proper boots matter more than fashion ones.
Yes. Time at the farm after the run is for hearing how the dogs train and being with them, not a rushed photo on the way to the next booking.
Professional photography is an optional extra once you are off the sled. Your own camera is fine when the guide says the team is settled.
Your total follows your band: one to four guests, five to eight, or a group of nine. Tell us the real number early so teams match the band you pay for.
Moving from four to five guests changes band and planning, not a small last-minute add-on.
This private sled visit focuses on guests driving their own team with the musher beside them. Share ages and ability so we confirm everyone can manage the runners or adjust plans before the day.
Tell us who is nervous or new so briefing time exists before the lines go tight.
We need names, ages, your Levi address, a mobile, snack allergies, and whether you added the lunch extra.
Give one week's notice if details change the date so teams are not rearranged the night before.
