A private compact boat is yours, so you can explore the waterways around Yas Island without a set itinerary. After a short briefing you head out independently with your own group and set the pace. No boating licence is required.
Once you leave the dock, you are on your own helm. Cruise the canals and open water around Yas Island and Al Raha at whatever pace suits your group, with no convoy to follow and no other guests on board. Stay inside the marked operating area and use the time for a slow loop of the waterfront, a stretch of open water, or a mix of both.
Connect a playlist through the Bluetooth speakers, sit under the canopy, and pause in allowed spots for a swim or a quiet break. On a longer outing there is usually time to stop at a permitted island, step onto the sand and swim before you continue. The 12 ft compact suits a couple or a small family; the 14 ft cruiser gives more room for up to four guests. At the end of the outing you bring the boat back to Al Bandar Marina, where the team helps you alongside.
The rental starts from Al Bandar Marina on Al Raha Beach, a few minutes from Yas Island. The marina has parking close by, plus changing rooms and washrooms before you go out.
From here you can reach the Al Raha canals, the Yas Island waterfront and permitted island stops. The exact stretch you use on the day depends on weather and sea state.
No boating licence or previous experience is required. The driver must be 21 or over to operate independently. Guests aged 15 to 20 may drive only with an adult aged 25 or over on board. The driver needs a valid ID or passport at check-in.
Everyone should be comfortable on the water and happy to follow the briefing before leaving the dock. Children are welcome as passengers within the boat's weight limit, and infants sit on an adult's lap. Wear clothing you can get wet if you plan to swim.
Compact boats are kept simple to handle, and a licensed captain is on hand at the marina for the briefing and for help if you need it on the water. Groups stay small, so the orientation is personal rather than a rushed handover.
Life jackets and the required safety kit come with every rental. Changing rooms, washrooms and showers at the marina make it easy to arrive, get on the water and freshen up when you come back.
Meet at Al Bandar Marina, Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your booked time.
If you are driving, use UB Parking. Take the lift to Marina Walk on the ground floor (G), then walk to the marina gate. The team will meet you there and walk you to the boats. Changing rooms and washrooms are available at the marina.
No licence is required. You receive a full operating briefing before you leave the dock, covering how to control the boat, where you may cruise, and how to return to the marina.
The team remains available if you need help during your rental. Stay inside the permitted area and follow the briefing throughout your time on the water.
The driver must be 21 or over to operate independently. Guests aged 15 to 20 may drive only when an adult aged 25 or over is on board with them.
The driver needs a valid ID or passport at check-in. Other guests in your group can ride as passengers within the boat's weight limit.
The 12 ft compact is best for one or two adults, or a mix of adults and children, with a maximum combined weight of 230 kg. The 14 ft cruiser is best for up to four guests, with a maximum combined weight of 350 kg.
Your boat is private for your group. Choose the size that matches your party when you book, and stay within the stated weight limit.
You can book 30 minutes, 1 hour, 90 minutes, 2 hours or 3 hours. Pick the length that suits you at checkout.
Please return the boat to Al Bandar Marina by the end of your booked slot so the next group can start on time.
Yes, swimming and island stops are allowed inside the permitted operating area when weather and sea conditions are suitable. The briefing covers where you may stop and where you may anchor.
Bring swimwear and a towel if you want time in the water. The team will confirm what is open on the day.

Yes, children can join as passengers within the boat's guest and weight limits. Infants sit on an adult's lap. Everyone wears a life jacket.
The driver still needs to meet the age rules above. Keep children seated and follow the briefing, especially when you stop to swim.

Rentals depend on weather and sea conditions. If it is not safe to go out, the team will contact you to rebook or advise on the next step.
Routes and island stops can also change on the day for the same reason. Safety comes first, even if that means a shorter or more sheltered outing.
