Your driver collects you from a Montego Bay hotel or cruise pier and takes you inland for a 4.5-hour river session. At the put-in you choose a sit-back tube or a kayak on the same stretch of water, and we fit life jackets and talk through the river before anyone steps in.
Once you reach the river, we gather at the put-in for a safety briefing and get you into a life jacket and either a tube or a kayak. Guides check the fit, explain the hand signals, and wait until everyone is happy before the group moves downstream. If you take a tube, the current does most of the work, so you can sit back through the rainforest bends, link up with the person next to you if you like, and hop out for a swim when the river opens into a pool.
If you would rather paddle, you take the same stretch on a kayak and steer through the gentler bends, pausing for photos when the water calms. We keep the group to four guests or fewer, which makes it easier to look after first-timers and families. At the take-out you can change into dry clothes if you want a dry seat, then we drive you back to the same hotel or pier.
The river sits inland from Montego Bay, under a rainforest canopy, with clear, cool water and shaded banks. You travel there in an air-conditioned vehicle, so the ride feels like part of the day rather than a scramble to find the trailhead.

Leave jewellery, passports and anything you cannot afford to get wet in your room safe. A waterproof pouch is fine for a phone and a little cash.
Life jackets are provided. Loose items should stay zipped away once you are on the river.
