Discover active perch fishing on the Norfolk Broads with one-to-one lure coaching at a bank or mooring that fits your holiday. Your tutor supplies appropriate spinning tackle, shows you safe casting near reeds and boats, and helps you retrieve lures with confidence.
We confirm your location, agree a peg with safe casting room, and set up a balanced lure rod for the conditions. Your tutor demonstrates a simple retrieve pattern, then coaches you through casts while watching for follows and taps from perch.
Sessions stay mobile when helpful, trying a few features rather than sitting in one spot for the whole hour. With two hours you can explore additional swims, refine hooking strikes, and discuss how to repeat the approach on your own later in the week.
Lure tuition runs across the same Norfolk Broads network as our coarse lessons, from popular hire boat areas near Wroxham and Horning to quieter staithes and broad corners. The meeting point is tailored to your cottage, park, or mooring rather than a single shop car park.
Perch often relate to structure such as reed fringes, mooring chains, and transitions between shallow and slightly deeper water. Your tutor uses local knowledge to pick swims with a fair chance of fish while keeping footing and casting space safe for beginners.
No lure experience is required, though complete novices may enjoy a coarse lesson first if they have never handled a rod. Listen carefully to casting safety, especially when fishing from a hire boat deck or narrow path.
Parental supervision is required for under eighteens. Tell us about mobility or access constraints so we can avoid steep banks or long walks with kit.
You receive focused coaching from an experienced Broads angler and qualified teacher, not a generic group slot. Lure tackle for perch can be supplied, which saves packing specialist kit for a one week boating holiday.
Mobile meetings mean you fish near where you are staying, maximising time on the water. Flexible session lengths let you try lure fishing without committing to a full day charter.
This lesson focuses on active lure fishing for perch using rods, reels, and artificial lures suited to Broads margins and reed lines. It suits anglers who want a more mobile style than static float fishing, though complete beginners are still welcome if you prefer to start with coarse tackle instead.
Your tutor explains lure choice, retrieval speed, and how to fish safely near reeds and boats. One hour introduces the basics; two hours allow more casts and time to refine technique.
Spinning rods, reels, lures, trace wire or leaders where needed, and a landing net are supplied for the session. You may bring your own lure kit if you wish, and your tutor can check it is balanced for perch on the Broads.
Wear non slip footwear and clothing you can move in, because lure fishing often involves walking along banks or fishing from a moored deck with limited space. Polarised sunglasses help spot fish in clear shallows when the sun is out.
We meet you at an agreed bank or mooring after you share your holiday location. Perch often hold along reed edges, boat moorings, and quiet corners of broads where small fish gather, so your tutor picks a swim with casting room and safe footing.
Share boat name, registration, and a What3Words pin when meeting on a hire cruiser. Narrow dykes need shorter casts and careful line control, which your tutor demonstrates before you fish independently under guidance.
One or two coached anglers per booking keeps instruction focused. Spectators may watch if space allows. Under eighteens need a parent or guardian present, matching our family friendly coarse lessons policy.
Lure hooks are sharp and retrieves can be fast, so your tutor checks everyone understands safe casting before starting. Two coached participants share one instructor rather than a group class format.
Perch are present in many Broads waters year round, with activity varying by weather and time of day. Your tutor reads conditions on arrival and adjusts lure size and depth rather than promising a fixed number of fish.
Part of the lesson is learning where perch station in reeds, mooring chains, and drop offs so you can explore other swims on future holiday days. Catch and release is normal unless you agree otherwise for a photograph.
Strong wind can make lure control difficult on open broads, and thunderstorms require postponement. Light rain is often fine, and reed sheltered swims still fish well when breezes pick up.
We reschedule unsafe sessions at no extra cost. Bring a waterproof and dress for temperature changes on the water, especially evening slots in spring or autumn.
If you have only fished with bait before, your tutor compares the two styles and keeps retrieves simple at first. If you already lure fish elsewhere, the session can emphasise local perch habits on the Broads rather than repeating generic theory.
Mention your experience when booking so the pace fits. Complete novices may prefer the beginner coarse lesson first, then add a lure session later in the same holiday.
Reschedule with twenty four hours notice at no charge. Cancellations more than forty eight hours ahead incur a ten pound fee with the balance refunded. Inside forty eight hours bookings are non refundable.
If we cancel, you receive a refund or free reschedule. These terms mirror our other Norfolk Broads lessons and the partner policy shown at checkout.
Twenty four hours lead time is required when possible. Peak summer weeks fill quickly around hire boat changeover days, so earlier booking helps secure your preferred time and location area.
After booking, provide emergency contact, accommodation or mooring details, land versus boat access, parking notes, and any experience level so your tutor can pack suitable lures and rod weights.
Half day and full day bespoke sessions may be available by direct contact outside this listing. The standard Adventuro options are one or two hour coached slots with fixed pricing for one or two participants.
If you want back to back lessons for two children or mixed coarse and lure content in one visit, message us before booking and we can suggest the best split across the diary.
