See Palma’s coastline from the water on a small-group catamaran cruise with extra time, space, and on-board comforts. This upgraded experience combines sailing past Cap Rocat, long swim stops, snorkelling, paddle boards, and a full barbecue in Cala Vella.
After boarding in the Port of Palma, the catamaran sails quietly out across Palma Bay, offering wide views back towards the city and the Cathedral from the sea. The first stop is off Cap Rocat, where you can take an initial swim and enjoy a generous selection of savoury snacks served on board while anchored.
The cruise then continues south to Cala Vella, a sheltered cove known for clear, shallow water and good snorkelling conditions. Once anchored, there is ample time to swim, relax on deck, or use the included paddle boards and kayak. Snorkelling equipment and flotation aids are available, and the large floating mat makes it easy to spend extended time in the water.
While anchored in Cala Vella, a barbecue is prepared on board and served alongside salads, bread, and drinks. Dessert follows before the return sail to Palma, crossing the bay at a relaxed pace. The skipper may adjust the exact route or anchoring points depending on weather and sea conditions, while keeping the overall structure of the trip the same.
Boarding and disembarkation take place in the Port of Palma, from the dock used by tourist passenger ships and local traffic vessels, directly in front of the Auditorium on the Paseo Marítimo. The meeting point is central and well connected by taxi and public transport.
Optional coach transfers are available from selected areas, with pick-ups between El Dorado and Palma, and from Camp de Mar towards Palma. Guests using the transfer service are returned to their original pick-up location after the excursion.
No previous sailing experience is required. This experience is suitable for couples, families, and groups who want a more spacious and less crowded day on the water.
Participants should be comfortable spending several hours on a boat and entering the water via ladder. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, particularly during swim and paddle board activities.
This small-group format limits passenger numbers to create more space, easier access to equipment, and a calmer atmosphere during swim stops. Extra inclusions such as paddle boards, kayak use, and extended snack service set this option apart from standard bay cruises.
Sailing is prioritised whenever conditions allow to reduce fuel use, and reusable cups and serviceware are used on board. The focus is on unhurried time at anchor, attentive crew support, and well-paced catering that fits naturally around swimming and relaxation.
This option limits the number of passengers to a maximum of 35, creating more space on deck and in the water. It also includes extra equipment such as paddle boards and a kayak, plus a more extensive snack service.
The pacing is slower at anchor, with longer stops designed to let guests swim, relax, and eat without feeling rushed.
The cruise lasts approximately five hours. Morning departures run from 10:00 to 15:00, and afternoon departures from 15:30 to 20:30.
Return times may vary slightly depending on sea conditions and final routing, but the total duration remains consistent.
Boarding and disembarkation are in the Port of Palma, at the dock for tourist and local passenger vessels in front of the Auditorium on the Paseo Marítimo.
