Sail out from Palma and spend a full day exploring the southern coastline of Mallorca by catamaran. This relaxed cruise combines sailing time, two long swim stops, snorkelling, and a freshly prepared barbecue on board.
The day begins with boarding in the Port of Palma, directly on the promenade opposite the Auditorium. Once underway, the catamaran sails quietly across Palma Bay, passing the dramatic cliffs and fortifications of Cap Rocat before reaching the first swim stop at Cova Verda. You’ll have around 30 minutes here to swim and snorkel straight from the boat in clear coastal water.
After re-boarding, the sail continues towards Cala Vella, a sheltered cove known for its light-coloured sand and shallow turquoise water. The catamaran anchors here for approximately two hours, giving plenty of time to swim, snorkel, relax on the bow nets, or enjoy the large floating mat in the water. Snorkelling equipment is available, and flotation aids are on board for both children and adults.
Before leaving Cala Vella, lunch or dinner is served on board. The barbecue is prepared fresh and followed by dessert, with drinks available throughout. After a final swim stop, the return sail takes you back across Palma Bay to the harbour, arriving back at the original boarding point in the early afternoon or evening. Routes and timings may be adjusted by the skipper depending on weather and sea conditions.
Boarding and disembarkation take place in the Port of Palma, at the dock for tourist passenger vessels located directly in front of the Auditorium on the Paseo Marítimo. The meeting point is central and easy to reach on foot, by taxi, or via public transport.
Optional coach transfers are available from selected areas, with pick-ups between El Dorado and Palma, and from Camp de Mar towards Palma. Guests using the transfer service are returned to their original pick-up area after the cruise.
No sailing experience is required, and the excursion is suitable for families, couples, and mixed-age groups. Participants should be comfortable spending several hours on a boat and entering the water via ladder for swimming and snorkelling.
Children are welcome and must be supervised by an adult at all times. Basic swimming ability is recommended to make the most of the stops, although flotation equipment is available for added confidence.
This experience focuses on unhurried sailing, generous time at anchor, and access to coves that are difficult to reach from land. The combination of two swim stops, shaded seating, open deck space, and on-board catering makes it well suited to both active swimmers and those who prefer to relax.
The crew operate with a strong emphasis on safety, comfort, and low-impact sailing. When conditions allow, the catamaran sails with minimal engine use, and reusable or biodegradable serviceware is used on board, keeping the experience practical, enjoyable, and considerate of the marine environment.
The cruise lasts approximately five hours from boarding to return. There is a morning departure running from 10:00 to 15:00 and an afternoon departure from 15:30 to 20:30, depending on availability.
Exact return times may vary slightly depending on sea conditions and the final route chosen by the skipper, but the overall duration remains consistent.
