Challenge yourself with a hands-on wilderness survival experience in private woodland. This overnight course is designed for adults who want to learn essential bushcraft skills, test their resilience and build confidence in living outdoors. With guidance from expert instructors, you’ll spend a night camping independently in the woods while applying the skills you’ve developed throughout the day.
The course begins with a full day of practical training in the woods. Instructors will cover essential survival skills, including shelter building, firelighting, tool use, foraging and responsible woodland practices. You’ll learn through hands-on activities, using both modern kit and natural resources.
As the evening approaches, you will put your knowledge into practice by setting up your own camp for the night. You can choose to use tarps, hammocks or natural shelters you construct yourself. After preparing your fire and settling in, the night becomes your chance to test your resilience and adaptability. Staff remain close by but out of sight, ensuring your safety while you experience independent camping.
The following morning begins with breakfast, which you can either prepare yourself or opt for a provided meal at an extra cost. Additional training is given before breaking camp, with an emphasis on Leave No Trace principles. By midday, you’ll leave the woodland with new skills, stronger confidence and a deeper appreciation for what nature provides.
