Setting off from Positano, this private boat trip aboard the Jeranto 9 offers a slower, more traditional way to experience the coastline. The classic gozzo design combines open deck space with practical comfort, making it well-suited to a full day on the water. It’s an easy-going option for couples, families, or small groups who value space, flexibility, and a relaxed pace.
Your day begins at Positano harbour, where you’ll meet your skipper and walk down to the Jeranto 9. After a short introduction and settling on board, the boat heads out along the coast at a comfortable cruising speed. The layout of the gozzo allows everyone to spread out, whether that’s enjoying the sun on deck or sitting in shaded seating while watching the coastline pass by.
As the trip unfolds, the route follows your chosen direction, either towards Capri, along the Amalfi Coast, or a combination of both. Along the way, the skipper selects calm areas for swimming and snorkelling when conditions allow. These stops are unhurried, giving you time to cool off in clear water or simply float and relax before continuing the cruise.
Throughout the day, there’s time built in for slowing things down. You might choose to spend longer anchored in a favourite spot, enjoy drinks from the minibar on board, or request time ashore in places such as Capri or along the Amalfi Coast. The return journey to Positano is smooth and unpressured, rounding off a full day that balances cruising, swimming, and time to unwind.
Departure is from Positano harbour, positioned centrally along the Amalfi Coast and well placed for routes heading both west towards Capri and east towards Amalfi. This location allows for efficient cruising without long transit times, meaning more of the day is spent enjoying the boat and the sea.
The harbour is within easy reach of Positano’s main areas, and detailed meeting instructions are provided in advance so you know exactly where to go on the day. Starting from Positano also makes it simple to plan onward travel before or after the trip.
This experience is suitable for most guests, including families with children, provided everyone is comfortable spending several hours on a boat. Boarding involves stepping onto the vessel from the harbour, so guests should be able to manage this independently or with light assistance.
No prior boating experience is required, as the skipper takes care of navigation and safety throughout the day. Guests with reduced mobility or specific medical considerations should consider whether moving around the boat and entering the water for swimming will be comfortable for them.
A strong emphasis is placed on unhurried, private experiences that allow guests to enjoy the coast without strict schedules. Each trip is shaped around the group on board, rather than following a fixed plan, which makes the day feel personal and adaptable.
Carefully maintained boats and experienced local skippers help create a calm, reliable experience on the water. The overall approach focuses on comfort, local knowledge, and giving guests the space to enjoy the coastline in a way that feels natural and unforced.
Yes, the Jeranto 9 is reserved exclusively for your group, with no other guests on board. This allows you to enjoy the day at your own pace, without sharing space or following someone else’s schedule.
Having the boat to yourselves also means the skipper can adjust the route and timing throughout the day to suit your preferences and how you’d like to spend the time.
The boat can host up to eight guests, making it a good fit for couples, families, or small groups. This capacity allows everyone to remain comfortable, with space to sit, stretch out, and move around during the day.
The price is per group rather than per person, so the cost remains the same whether you’re travelling as a couple or with a full group.
Swimming stops are part of the experience when sea and weather conditions allow. The skipper selects suitable spots with calm water, giving you time to swim, snorkel, or relax in the water.
Snorkelling equipment is provided on board, so there’s no need to bring your own unless you prefer to use personal gear.
Time ashore can be arranged on request, for example in Capri or at selected points along the Amalfi Coast. Any time spent on land is included within the total duration of the trip, so it’s important to factor this into how you’d like to plan the day.
Harbour or docking fees, where applicable, are not included unless stated otherwise, and can vary depending on the location.
Children are welcome on board and often enjoy the relaxed nature of the trip. Parents should supervise children at all times, particularly during swimming stops and while moving around the boat.
Life jackets are available on board, and the skipper provides safety guidance before departure.
Swimwear, sunscreen, and sunglasses are essential, along with a hat for protection from the sun. Comfortable footwear or sandals are useful when boarding and moving around the harbour.
Many guests also bring a camera or phone for photos, plus some cash for personal expenses if planning to go ashore during the trip.
