This is a one-hour introduction to indoor bouldering in Elche, with an instructor who stays with the group from the briefing through to the last climb. You cover gym rules, basic movement, and how to fall safely onto the mats, and climbing shoes are included. Friends, colleagues, and small teams can share the same hour.
Arrive a few minutes early so you can get settled and try on shoes before the class starts. Your instructor meets you, shows you around the hall, and helps you find climbing shoes that fit. You start on the ground with a short briefing covering gym rules, how to use your feet, and how to fall onto the mats. There are no ropes. You climb on shorter walls with thick mats underneath, and you try the first moves on easy holds before you go further up.
Most of the hour is climbing, with your instructor staying with the group, helping you work out the next hold, and letting you try the same move again if you want. You can sit on the benches by the walls when you need a rest. The class ends with a short recap and time for questions. If you want to keep climbing after the instructed hour, the day pass covers the rest of your visit.
Elche sits inland from the Alicante coast, and the gym is in Carrús, a residential part of the city rather than a beachfront strip. You climb inside a bright hall with plywood volumes, thick mats under every problem, and benches beside the walls so your group can rest together between attempts.
Street parking is available nearby if you arrive by car. On weekdays, bus line A runs from the centre of Elche and stops close to the gym. Because the session is indoors, rain or heat outside does not stop the hour.
No climbing experience is needed. First-timers are the usual guests on this hour, and your instructor stays with the group so you are not left to work the walls out alone. If you have climbed a little before, say so when you request the session so the coaching can meet you where you are.
You should be comfortable standing, bending, and using your arms and legs for an hour of movement. Wear sports clothing you can reach and squat in, such as shorts or leggings and a T-shirt. Tell us when you request the session if you have a medical condition that might affect climbing, so we can plan a safe hour.
Joe designed the gym as an architect and a climber, so the layout runs from a gentle slab through to a steep roof instead of a converted corner of a sports hall. Walls are smooth rather than coated in grit, which is kinder on skin and shoes and asks you to place your feet with more care.
Groups stay at a maximum of eight, so coaching stays personal rather than a crowd on the mats. Instructors take first-timers through safety and movement, and they stay with you for the whole hour rather than leaving you to work it out on your own.
Meet your instructor at the gym in Elche. You get a short briefing and try on climbing shoes before you get on the walls. Use the time to ask questions and get used to the hall and the mats.
Your instructor covers gym rules, how to start a climb, how to use your feet, and how to fall onto the mats. You try the first moves on easy holds before you go further up the wall.
You work through simple climbs with your instructor beside you. The pace stays with the group, so you can ask questions, rest on the benches, and try the same move again if you want.
The class ends with a short recap and time for questions. If you want to keep climbing afterwards, the day pass covers the rest of your visit. You can stay on the walls at your own pace once the instructed hour is done.
The introduction lasts one hour, from the briefing and shoe fitting through to climbing on the walls with your instructor. That hour is the class itself, not a drop-in around other climbers.
Arrive a few minutes early so you can get settled before the session starts. That way the climbing time stays intact and you are ready when your instructor begins.
This hour is for people who have not climbed before, or who want a structured first session on indoor bouldering walls. You do not need to know the holds, the grades, or how to fall.
Your instructor stays with the group throughout, so you are coached from the first briefing to the last problem. Tell us any previous experience when you request the session if you have climbed a little before.
Climbing shoes come with the session, and your instructor will help you find a pair that fits before you start climbing. You do not need to own or bring climbing shoes of your own.
Come in comfortable sports clothing you can move in. Everyday trainers are fine for arriving, because you will change into the climbing shoes at the gym.
Sessions run with a maximum of eight people. That keeps the hour personal enough for your instructor to coach the group properly, rather than watching a crowd from the mats.
You can book as a smaller group if you prefer. Tell us how many people are coming when you request the session so we can match you with a slot that fits.
Friends, colleagues, and small teams can share the same instructor-led hour and climb together on the beginner-friendly problems. The class stays at a maximum of eight people.
Add how many people are coming and a few preferred days when you request the session. We will confirm a time that works for the group.
You do not need to be a trained climber or a regular gym-goer. The session is built for first-timers and stays on beginner-friendly problems, with your instructor setting the pace.
You should be comfortable standing, bending, and using your arms and legs for an hour of movement. If you have a medical condition that might affect climbing, tell us when you request the session.

This is indoor bouldering. You climb on purpose-built walls inside the gym, so rain or heat outside does not stop the session and you do not need outdoor climbing kit.
There are no ropes on this session. Bouldering is climbing without a rope on shorter walls, with thick mats underneath for every fall.
Request the session through Adventuro and we will confirm a time that works. Sessions are arranged around the instructor's availability rather than a fixed public timetable.
When you request, include names, ages, any climbing experience, and a few preferred days so we can match you with a slot. We will come back to you to confirm or suggest another time.
