Already completed a beginner kitesurf course but still not fully confident riding independently? This advanced kitesurfing course in Parajuru is designed for riders who want to improve water starts, riding control and overall confidence through structured coaching combined with supervised practice time on the water.
The course is divided into two separate coaching sessions, each lasting two hours, with additional supervised practice time included between lessons. During the first part, instructors briefly revisit important theory and safety concepts before returning to practical exercises in the water. Riders work on kite control, body dragging and positioning, helping build confidence in different riding situations.
Following the first session, participants keep the equipment for independent practice. This gives riders time to repeat techniques at their own pace while still remaining close to the centre and beach support team. The lagoon’s shallow-water conditions provide a safer environment for practising water starts and recovering the board between attempts.
The second coaching session focuses more heavily on water starts and early riding progression. Instructors provide individual feedback, helping riders refine their technique, improve board control and ride longer distances with greater consistency. Coaching can also adapt to personal progression goals depending on each participant’s current level and confidence.
Positioned along Brazil’s northeastern coastline, the riding area combines shallow tidal lagoon conditions with nearby access to the sea and river mouth. During higher tides, the lagoon becomes especially suitable for practising water starts and improving riding consistency thanks to its calmer water sections and wide open space.
More experienced riders can also take advantage of nearby flatter-water areas near the river mouth or head towards the sea for more varied conditions. The combination of steady wind and changing tidal conditions creates an excellent environment for progression-focused training.
Participants should already have basic kitesurfing experience before joining this course. It is particularly suitable for riders who have previously completed a beginner course but still feel unsure riding independently or restarting after a long break away from the sport.
Confidence in controlling the kite is helpful, although the course still revisits key safety and control exercises before progressing into more advanced riding work.
Lessons are structured to combine instructor-led coaching with supervised self-practice, giving riders more time on the water to repeat movements and build consistency independently. This approach allows participants to progress more naturally rather than relying only on short guided sessions.
The centre’s location directly beside the lagoon also means riders can quickly access suitable learning conditions without long transfers. Beach staff remain available throughout the day to assist with launching, landing and practical support between sessions.
This programme is aimed at riders who already understand the basics of kitesurfing but are not yet fully independent on the water. It suits people who struggle with consistent water starts, riding control or confidence after time away from the sport.
Many participants join after completing a beginner course elsewhere and wanting additional support before renting equipment independently.
The course is split into two separate two-hour coaching sessions. Between lessons, riders keep the equipment for additional supervised practice time to repeat the techniques covered during instruction.
This structure gives participants more time on the water and helps movements become more natural through repetition.
Yes. One full day of equipment rental is included within the course package, allowing riders to continue practising after the coached sessions finish.
Extended rental packages are also available for participants wanting several additional days of riding after completing the course.
Training focuses on water starts, riding technique, kite control and body dragging exercises both upwind and downwind. Instructors also revisit safety systems and provide personalised riding advice depending on each participant’s needs.
The goal is to help riders feel more comfortable practising independently in suitable conditions.
Yes. Independent practice time is an important part of the programme. After the first coaching session, participants continue practising using the rental equipment while remaining close to the centre and support team.
This allows riders to repeat movements at their own pace without constant interruption.
The lagoon is especially useful for progression because of its shallow-water areas and open space during higher tides. Riders can focus on water starts and riding without dealing with heavy shorebreak or crowded launch areas.
Conditions vary daily with the tides, so instructors schedule sessions according to the best available learning conditions.
Yes. Instructors adjust exercises depending on each rider’s confidence and progression. Some participants may focus mainly on water starts, while others work on longer riding distances, transitions or improving consistency.
The smaller coaching setup allows for more individual feedback during the sessions.
