See the Amalfi Coast from the water on a small-group boat day that starts in Naples. After a shuttle to the Sorrento-area port you cruise past caves and beaches, swim when conditions allow, and enjoy free time in Amalfi and Positano.
After meeting in Naples you transfer to the marina, board, and follow the cliff coastline past Li Galli, Praiano and the Furore fjord. Swim stops in clear water are included when the sea is suitable.
You dock in Amalfi and later in Positano for free time to walk, shop or eat independently before sailing back and taking the shuttle to Naples.
The Amalfi Coast is a steep limestone shoreline of terraced towns, rocky coves and clear water between the Sorrento Peninsula and Salerno. Seeing it from a small boat avoids the busiest stretches of the coast road.
Starting in Naples near Garibaldi station makes the day practical if you are staying in the city or arriving by train. The shuttle covers the road transfer so you can focus on the boat and town time.
No boating experience is needed. A professional skipper handles navigation and docking while you enjoy the ride and time ashore.
You should be comfortable with an early start, a road transfer of about 1.5 hours each way, boarding a small boat and walking steep streets in Amalfi and Positano. Infants sit on laps.
A Naples meeting point plus shuttle removes the need to organise your own transfer to the Sorrento coast. The boat stays small, with a maximum of twelve guests, so the coastal stretch feels calmer than a crowded ferry.
Free time in both Amalfi and Positano is yours to use after seeing the cliffs and coves from the water. Soft drinks and light snacks are typically offered on board between stops.
Meet at Starhotels Terminus on Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi in Naples between about 7:00 and 8:45. A complimentary shuttle takes you to the departure port in the Sorrento area, with roughly 1.5 hours on the road.
Once at the marina you board the small-group boat, receive a short briefing and cast off toward the Amalfi Coast.
Cruise past Li Galli, the three tiny islands opposite Positano, with a swim and snorkel stop in turquoise water when conditions allow. From the deck you also see Praiano nestled between cliff and sea.
Further along, the Furore fjord appears as a narrow rock cleft with a high bridge above a tiny seaside village.
Dock in Amalfi for free time in the historic centre and harbour. Walk toward the cathedral, browse the lanes or sit with a coffee overlooking the water at your own pace.
Amalfi is a UNESCO World Heritage town and one of the main hubs of the coast, so this stop is a good chance to stretch your legs ashore.
Continue by boat to Positano for free time among the colourful terraced lanes and beachfront. When free time ends you reboard for the cruise back to the Sorrento-area port.
A shuttle then returns you to Naples to close the day.

Expect slopes and steps in both Amalfi and Positano, and be ready to carry little ones where wheels are impractical.
