Experience a full-day boat trip to the Egadi Islands, visiting Favignana and Levanzo. Glide over turquoise waters and golden beaches while exploring the islands’ historical sites and natural coves, with plenty of time for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxation. This open group tour offers a social yet unhurried way to experience the Mediterranean’s beauty from the comfort of a well-equipped boat.
The day begins at Trapani’s marina, where you’ll board a comfortable, well-equipped boat and set off across the Mediterranean towards Favignana. On the way, the skipper shares insights into the islands’ history, from ancient naval battles to traditional fishing practices. Your first stops include Cala Azzurra and Bue Marino, where you can swim, snorkel, or simply relax while taking in the clear waters and striking rock formations. An aperitif break mid-morning offers a moment to refresh and enjoy light snacks as the boat glides along secluded coves.
Around midday, you’ll pause at Cala Rossa and the Lovers’ Cave before mooring for a leisurely lunch on board. The menu highlights traditional Sicilian dishes, paired with drinks and fresh fruit, giving you time to unwind while enjoying views of Favignana’s coastline. After lunch, you’ll have the chance to explore the island’s old town, browsing narrow streets, craft shops, and local products, soaking up its relaxed atmosphere.
In the afternoon, the boat heads to Levanzo, where Cala Dogana, Cala Fredda, and Cala Minnola offer crystal-clear waters and hidden corners to swim, snorkel, or relax. Each cove combines natural beauty with historical significance, from ancient anchorage points to medieval maritime routes. The day concludes with a calm sail back to Trapani, giving you time to take in the islands’ vistas and reflect on the full experience of Mediterranean landscapes, history, and marine life.
The tour departs from Trapani’s Vento di Maestrale Marina, a fully equipped harbour situated at the western tip of Sicily. Trapani offers easy access via road and ferry links from surrounding towns and airports, and the marina provides facilities including parking, cafes, and seating areas to make your arrival comfortable.
The boat tour navigates the surrounding Egadi Islands, a cluster of Mediterranean gems. Favignana is known for its historical quarries, coastal caves, and shallow, turquoise waters ideal for snorkeling. Levanzo offers quieter coves, crystal-clear waters, and a small village atmosphere, preserving both natural beauty and traces of ancient maritime history.
Participants should be comfortable on a boat and able to swim if planning to snorkel or swim during the stops. Light walking is required when visiting the towns or beaches, but no advanced fitness is necessary. Children must be supervised at all times, and life jackets are provided.
Participants are advised to bring sun protection, swimwear, towels, and personal items for comfort throughout the day. The skipper may adjust stops depending on weather and sea conditions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
The boat is designed for comfort and safety, with a professional crew dedicated to providing attentive service throughout the journey. Passengers benefit from a combination of guided commentary and personal time to enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing, offering the flexibility to enjoy the tour at your pace.
The itinerary has been designed to balance historical insight with natural exploration, including opportunities to explore lesser-known coves and caves, and visit charming local towns. With a maximum of 24 passengers, the experience maintains a sense of privacy while still allowing for social interaction.
