Explore Mallorca’s southwest coastline aboard a fully electric llaüt on a quiet coastal experience departing from Port Adriano. This half-day trip focuses on the waters surrounding the Malgrats Islands Marine Reserve, combining swimming, snorkelling and paddle boarding with a more environmentally conscious way to experience the sea.
Designed for small groups, the experience offers the chance to enjoy protected marine areas without engine noise while learning more about the importance of Mallorca’s coastal ecosystems.
The experience begins from Port Adriano on Mallorca’s southwest coast, where you’ll board the electric llaüt and cruise quietly along the coastline towards the Malgrats Islands Marine Reserve. The electric motor creates a noticeably calmer atmosphere on board, allowing guests to enjoy the sounds of the sea and coastline while reducing environmental impact during navigation.
As you approach the protected marine reserve area, the skipper will explain more about the local marine environment and the significance of the Malgrats Islands. Depending on sea conditions, the trip may include swimming and snorkelling stops in suitable areas where guests can explore the clear waters around the reserve. Paddle boards and the underwater sea scooter are also available throughout the experience for those wanting a more active time in the water.
Between water activities, guests can relax on board with drinks, fruit and Mallorcan snacks while taking in views of Mallorca’s southwest coastline. The route combines coastal scenery, marine exploration and quieter cruising in a way that feels very different from traditional fuel-powered boat trips.
This experience departs from Port Adriano, located in the municipality of Calvià on Mallorca’s southwest coast, approximately 20km from Palma. The marina is known for its modern waterfront, restaurants and easy access to nearby coastal areas and marine reserves.
The nearby Malgrats Islands Marine Reserve is one of the most important protected marine areas in southwest Mallorca. Its clear waters and protected status make it an ideal location for snorkelling, wildlife observation and low-impact boating experiences.
No previous boating, snorkelling or paddle boarding experience is required. Guests should simply feel comfortable around water if they plan to swim or use the included equipment during the trip.
Participants should bring swimwear, towels and sunscreen. Lightweight clothing, sunglasses and hats are also recommended due to extended sun exposure while on the water.
This experience focuses on combining responsible boating with a more personal way to explore Mallorca’s marine environment. The fully electric boat significantly reduces noise and emissions, helping create a calmer atmosphere while minimising disturbance within sensitive coastal areas.
By operating around the Malgrats Islands Marine Reserve, the experience also encourages greater awareness of Mallorca’s marine ecosystems and the importance of protecting local waters and wildlife for future generations.
