Pick-up times vary by season and your hotel location, and are confirmed after you book. Most evening safaris collect guests in the mid to late afternoon so you reach the dunes before sunset. You will receive a message or email with your assigned window, usually a 15 to 30 minute range.

Please wait in your hotel lobby at the start of that window with your booking reference ready. If traffic or earlier collections run late, the driver will call or message the number on your booking. Being ready on time helps the whole group stay on schedule for dune activities and the camp programme.

Shared pick-up and drop-off is included for hotels within Dubai city limits. This covers most central, marina and beach-area properties where tour vehicles can access the lobby or a nearby meeting point. Remote private villas or addresses far outside the city may need a nearby hotel lobby as the collection point.

If you are staying in another emirate or need collection from the airport, contact the team before booking to confirm whether a supplement or alternative meeting point applies. Transport from outside Dubai city limits or from the airport is not included in the standard package price.

Dune bashing is carried out by licensed desert drivers in maintained 4x4 vehicles with seat belts for every passenger. Children must use appropriate restraints and sit with an adult. The driving is energetic but controlled, following established routes rather than unmarked terrain.

It is not recommended for pregnant guests or people with recent back, neck or heart conditions without medical advice. If anyone in your group is nervous, tell the driver before the session starts so they can adjust the intensity. Infants may travel in approved seats when arranged in advance.

The buffet typically includes grilled meats, rice, salads, bread and vegetarian dishes so most dietary preferences can be accommodated. Arabic coffee, dates and soft drinks are served on arrival, and water is usually available during dinner. Exact menus can vary slightly by day and group size.

Let the team know about allergies or strict dietary needs when you book so they can flag your reservation at the camp kitchen. Alcoholic drinks are not usually part of the standard inclusive package unless your booking confirmation states otherwise. You may bring a small snack for children if that helps between activities.

An optional quad bike session is available on some departures and is booked as an add-on rather than part of the base safari price. It usually takes place before the main dune bashing segment, with safety briefing and helmets provided by the activity operator. Minimum age and licence rules apply and will be explained at the site.

If you are interested, select the quad bike option when booking or ask the team to add it to an existing reservation if space allows. Riders should wear closed shoes and follow instructor directions at all times. Guests who prefer not to ride can wait with the group or watch from a designated area.

Light, breathable clothing works well for the warm afternoon, with a layer for after sunset when temperatures drop. Long trousers or long skirts are practical for sitting on camels and camp benches, and closed shoes help when walking on sand. Sunglasses and a hat are useful until the sun goes down.

Avoid very loose scarves that could flap during dune driving. Modest dress is appreciated at the camp out of respect for local customs. Sand can get into shoes and pockets, so leave valuable jewellery at the hotel and bring a small bag you can keep zipped.

Plan for around 5.5 hours from hotel pick-up to return drop-off, though traffic and group size can add a little variation. The drive to the desert is usually under an hour each way, with the middle portion spent on dunes and at camp. Sunset timing shifts through the year, which affects when activities start.

Arriving back at your hotel is typically late evening after the shows and dinner. If you have a flight or show booking the same night, mention this when reserving so the team can advise whether the standard schedule fits. There is no strict dress code at camp beyond practical comfort and modesty.

Vegetarian dishes are a standard part of the BBQ buffet, including salads, grilled vegetables, rice and meat-free mains. Vegan guests can usually find suitable combinations, but options may be simpler than at a city restaurant. Mention vegan requirements when booking so the camp can prepare where possible.

Common allergens such as nuts or dairy may be present in buffet service, so speak to staff on arrival if you need guidance on specific dishes. Bringing a small supplementary snack is fine if you have strict requirements. Children’s portions are generally available from the same buffet line.

The evening programme normally includes three live acts: a Tanoura dancer in colourful traditional dress, a belly dance performance and a fire show. Seating is arranged so most guests have a clear view of the stage area. Shows run after sunset and before or during dinner depending on the daily schedule.

Photography is welcome, but please avoid using flash in performers’ faces and keep pathways clear for staff. The atmosphere is family friendly, though very young children may find the fire segment loud. If you need to leave early, tell your driver so return transport can be coordinated with the group.

You may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time of your experience. Cancellations inside that window, or failure to attend without notice, are non-refundable. This allows the operator to manage vehicle seats and camp catering for the correct group size.

If weather or safety conditions force a change, the team will contact you to rebook or discuss alternatives. Always cancel through the same channel you used to book so your request is logged correctly. Keep your confirmation email handy in case you need to reference your reservation number.
