Boat diving opens up a completely different side of Tenerife's underwater world. With access to offshore wrecks, caves, volcanic formations and reefs that cannot be reached from the shore, these trips are ideal for certified divers looking to experience some of the island's most impressive dive sites.
Each diving day includes two guided boat dives at two different dive sites. After meeting at either Las Galletas or Puerto Colón harbour, you'll prepare your equipment, receive a briefing and head out by boat to the day's first location.
The real advantage of boat diving is the variety of sites available. Throughout your diving package, you may visit underwater caves, volcanic formations, dramatic reefs and wrecks that are inaccessible from land. Popular locations include El Condesito Wreck, El Meridian Wreck, Los Arcos, Cave Alibaba, Cave Camarones, Punta Rasca and several other offshore sites around Tenerife's southern coastline.
Following the first dive, you'll enjoy a surface interval on board before travelling to a second location for another guided dive. Because every day includes two different sites, multi-day packages allow divers to experience a wide range of underwater environments and marine life.
Whether you book a single day or several days of diving, the goal is the same: to show you the best offshore diving Tenerife has to offer while matching sites to conditions and diver experience levels.
Trips depart from Las Galletas and Puerto Colón, two of the main diving harbours in South Tenerife. Their locations provide quick access to many of the island's most sought-after offshore dive sites.
The waters surrounding Tenerife are known for volcanic reefs, caves, swim-throughs, wrecks and abundant marine life. Many of the island's signature dive sites can only be reached by boat, making these excursions the best way to experience Tenerife's full diving potential.
Participants must hold a recognised scuba diving certification and be comfortable diving within the limits of their qualification and experience.
Proof of certification may be required before diving. Some sites may only be suitable for divers with additional experience or advanced certifications.
The instructors and guides dive these sites regularly and use their local knowledge to choose the most suitable locations each day. This helps ensure the best possible combination of conditions, visibility and marine life.
With dozens of offshore dive sites available, boat diving offers far greater variety than shore diving alone, making it a popular choice for visiting certified divers.
Every boat diving day includes two guided dives at two different dive sites.
This gives you the opportunity to experience a wider variety of underwater environments than a single-dive excursion and is included regardless of whether you book one day or a multi-day package.
