Inland from Ocho Rios you start in the rainforest pools, then sit on a captain-poled bamboo raft on a calmer river. Lunch is already in the plan before the ride back to your hotel or ship, and we need four guests for the day to run.
At the Blue Hole you swim the pools, try a rope swing if you fancy it, and climb for a jump only if you want one. Guides stay nearby while you explore the rocks and the waterfall. Anyone who prefers the shallows can float and take photos, and there is no pressure to climb.
A captain then poles a bamboo raft down a calmer stretch of river while you sit back and take in the banks. You can add a limestone foot massage on the raft when it is offered that day. A Jamaican lunch follows, then we return you to the same hotel or ship, with time to change if you want a dry seat.
Rainforest covers the slopes inland from Ocho Rios, and the Blue Hole sits in cool pools under the trees. The rafting stretch is a calmer river nearby, with a captain on the pole and time to trail a hand in the water.
We pick up from Ocho Rios hotels and the cruise port. The drives between stops are short enough that the day stays on the water rather than in traffic.
Previous rafting experience is not required. You should be happy in the water at the Blue Hole and comfortable sitting on a raft for the river section.
We need at least four guests for this day to run. Infants travel on an adult's lap. Wear water shoes on the rocks, and tell us if anyone wants to skip the jumps.
Our team works these Ocho Rios routes daily, and Jamaica Tourist Board certified drivers handle the hotel and port pickups. The day is built so the waterfall and the raft both get proper time.
Your guide stays with you from collection to drop-off and keeps the briefing clear at both the pools and the raft put-in. Lunch is already in the plan, so you are not hunting for a restaurant between the river and the ship.
We'll collect you from your Ocho Rios hotel or the cruise port and drive inland toward the Blue Hole. Use the ride to hear how the swim and the raft will run, and to store dry clothes for later.
You'll swim in the Blue Hole pools, with time for a rope swing or a quieter float at the edge. You can skip the jumps if you prefer, and guides stay nearby while you explore the rocks and the waterfall.
A captain poles a bamboo raft down a calmer stretch of river while you sit back and take in the banks. You can add a limestone foot massage on the raft when it is offered that day.
You'll sit down to a Jamaican lunch after the river, then travel back to the same hotel or ship we collected you from. There is time to change before the transfer if you want a dry seat.
We'll collect you from your Ocho Rios hotel or from the cruise port. Share your resort or ship name so we can confirm the pickup window.
Return transfers are included. If you need to make your own way, we'll send meeting details once we have your hotel or ship name.
You do not need previous rafting experience. A captain poles the bamboo raft, so you sit, take in the river and step off for a dip if you want one.
The Blue Hole section is a swim and climb at your own pace. Tell us if anyone prefers to stay in the shallows and skip the higher jumps, and we will keep an eye on them.
The full outing is around 4.5 hours, including pickup in Ocho Rios, time at the Blue Hole, the raft and lunch.
Harbour traffic and how long the group spends at the pools can add a little either way. We'll confirm your collection window once we have your hotel or ship name.
Yes. A Jamaican lunch is part of this day after the Blue Hole and the raft, so you do not need to find a restaurant between the river and the port.
If you have dietary needs, tell us in advance so the team can ask what is available that day. Drinks beyond what comes with lunch are usually extra.
We need at least four guests for this day to run, and the group can be up to 15. Parties smaller than four do not go out on their own.
If your group is smaller, tell us when you get in touch so we can see whether another departure can take you, rather than you arriving to find the day cannot run.
Yes. Return pickup is included from Ocho Rios hotels and the cruise port. Share your resort or ship name so we can set the time.
Cruise guests should allow time to leave the pier. We'll drop you back at the same hotel or port we collected you from.
Wear swimwear under clothes you can get wet, plus water shoes for the Blue Hole rocks. A light cover-up helps on the raft in the sun.
Bring a towel, sun cream and a dry change of clothes. Leave jewellery and passports in the hotel safe.
Infants travel on an adult's lap. The Blue Hole has deeper pools and optional jumps, and younger guests can stay in the shallows while others climb.
The raft is a sit-back stretch with a captain on the pole. Tell us ages in advance so we can plan seating.
Light showers often pass quickly, and the day can still run. Heavy rain that lifts the river or makes the rocks unsafe can mean a delay or a move to another date.
If the weather changes the plan, our team will explain your options. Pack a light layer just in case.
A limestone foot massage can be added on the raft when it is offered on the day. It is an extra, not part of the base outing.
Ask your captain at the put-in if you would like one. Bring a little cash if you plan to add it.
The Blue Hole is a set of rainforest pools and a waterfall where you can swim, use a rope swing and take photos. You can skip the jumps if you would rather stay in the shallows.
After the swim you move to a calmer river for the bamboo raft. The two stops give you an active hour and a quieter stretch on the water.
