Autumn colour is the reason for a private ATV or UTV ride through the forest around Levi while the birch is turning. Daylight loops last about two hours and take up to four guests, which keeps the line short on the tracks. When the evenings are dark enough, there is also a three-hour northern lights hunt on the same kind of machines.
While there is still light to see the controls, we collect you, then licences are checked and helmets go on before you practise on the ATV or UTV you will ride. Once that short practice is done, you follow your guide onto tracks lined with birch and tundra colour. Tell us who wants to drive and who would rather sit as a passenger so the machines match the group.
Small groups keep the two-hour daylight loop from stringing out, and stops are for photos and a breather rather than a sit-down meal. Night bookings go out after dusk towards darker ground and pause to look up when the clouds allow; the northern lights are never promised, and the ride still happens if the sky stays quiet. Either way we finish at the Levi address where we collected you.
Birch and tundra colour follow the tracks through forest and along fell edges around Levi and Sirkka while the leaves last. Later in the season the same paths go dark early, which is when the night option is possible. Countryside tracks are what you ride, with the resort behind you once the first stretch of trees closes in.
Together Levi and Sirkka form the village area this ride uses, in Finnish Lapland rather than on a closed circuit beside the hotels. Daylight autumn touring stays on that local forest and fell ground for about two hours. Night hunting uses the same countryside after dusk, heading away from village lights toward darker viewpoints.
Bring a physical licence to the briefing, and earlier ATV experience is not required because you practise before joining the trail. Children need to be at least four, and passengers ride with a licensed driver. Daylight autumn tours take no more than four guests, so share who wants to drive when you book.
Inner layers matter at autumn stops, because they feel colder than the ride once you step off the machine. Heights and ages should be shared as well as the driving split, so we can plan ATVs and UTV seats. Closed shoes you can walk in on damp ground are more useful than fashion boots with a smooth sole.
Private bookings mean pauses for photos or for the sky are yours rather than shared with another group. Helmets and seasonal kit are included, and a local guide stays with you from the first practice loop to the last kilometre. Night hunting uses the same kind of machines as the daylight ride, so you are choosing the time of day rather than a different activity.
Four guests is the cap on the two-hour autumn loop, which keeps the line short on golden tracks. Collection from your stay in Levi is part of both options. Guides lead from the front, so new riders are not left to guess the gaps on leaf-covered corners.
We collect you in Levi, verify licences, and fit helmets while daylight still shows the controls. A short practice on your ATV or UTV happens before the group enters the autumn forest.
The two-hour route follows birch-lined trails with stops to regroup your party of up to four. Your guide sets pace at the front so new riders are never left to guess gaps on golden leaf corners.
If you booked the northern lights hunt, engines stay on after dusk toward darker viewpoints and quiet sky watches. Daylight guests skip that leg and ride straight back to the accommodation where the afternoon began.
Book the two-hour daylight ride when you want russet birch and tundra colour from the saddle, with up to four in your private group. It suits families and friends who want back before the evening cools.
Book the three-hour northern lights hunt when evenings are dark enough to leave the village and you are comfortable riding by headlamp. It can start from a single guest and focuses on sky as well as trail.
Drivers must show a physical licence before the ATV or UTV moves. Autumn mud and early frost are real surfaces, so the check matches what we do in deeper winter.
Under 4s are generally not carried on these machines. Passengers ride with a licensed driver, usually in the UTV for a steadier bench seat.
We pick you up at your cabin or hotel in the Levi area. Autumn afternoons shorten quickly, so starting at your door saves hunting for a car park in fading light.
Include a working mobile on the booking. That is how we tell you if the start slides because another group is still on the machines.
The autumn daylight tour is private for one to four guests. The northern lights hunt is private as well and can run from one rider upward within your party size.
Send children's heights and ages early. That decides UTV seating before the trailer leaves base, not at your doorstep.
Layer wool or synthetic under the kit we provide. Sun on the track can feel mild while a stopped engine lets chill in fast, and the night hunt is colder still when you watch the sky.
Closed shoes beat smooth soles on leaf-slippery ground. Keep your licence easy to hand without unpacking bags in the dark.
The hunt rides toward darker horizons; it does not guarantee aurora. Cloud over the fells can block even strong displays, and quiet solar nights happen on clear skies too.
You still get the guided night loop and time to look up. If you only want autumn colour, choose the two-hour daylight ride instead of the night option.
First rides are welcome. Controls are explained in daylight, then you practise before the coloured tracks. Your guide stays ahead so you never lead the line alone.
If holding handlebars for an hour sounds tiring, say so before the day. Moving someone into a UTV is simple in planning and awkward once engines are warm.
Provide 72 hours notice for a full refund. Inside that window, or if nobody is at pickup, machines and guide time stay charged to your booking.
The cut-off follows the option you selected on the calendar. Soft tracks after heavy rain may force a call and route change rather than leaving you ready with nowhere to go.
Professional photos are an optional extra, popular on the daylight ride when birch colour frames the machines. Your own camera works at stops once engines are off and the guide agrees.
Night hunts are better for watching the sky than learning camera settings. Save phone shots for when you are standing still.
We need names, ages, heights, your Levi address, a mobile contact, and who will drive. Those details set how many ATVs and UTVs we bring to the door.
Drivers should expect to show the physical licence at pickup. Keep it easy to reach without unpacking bags in the dark.
