Combine Sierra Madre canopy ziplines, including the Superman run, with a guided ATV loop and hanging bridges above Puerto Vallarta. Guides lead station to station with harness checks, braking practice and clear signals between platforms. Shuttle transport from check-in takes you to a private ranch base in tropical forest.
You check in at Paseo de las Palmas in Nuevo Vallarta or Mástil 13 in Puerto Vallarta, then ride shuttle transport to the mountain base for waivers, harness fitting and a ground school on braking posture. The canopy segment progresses through multiple ziplines and adventure bridges with a guide at each platform, including the Superman line when it is open for the day.
After the aerial block you switch to ATVs for a supervised loop on forest tracks following a throttle and brake briefing. Station order can rotate when queues build at popular lines, and guides stay on platforms between runs so clipping and braking stay consistent for every rider before shuttle return to your original office.
The adventure park sits in tropical forest above the bay, with zipline runs between trees and ATV trails on private ranch land away from city traffic. Check-in starts at Nuevo Vallarta or the Mástil office in Puerto Vallarta before convoy transport into the mountain base, so you are not driving forest roads on your own.
Elevation brings cooler air than the beach zone and wide views toward Bahía de Banderas on clear days. Dust, shade and occasional mud on trails are normal, which is why closed-toe shoes and clothes you can get dirty are part of a practical kit for the day.
Minimum age is eight years, and no prior zipline or ATV experience is required because guides brief braking and controls before each segment. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory, and you need moderate fitness for stairs, brief hikes and supervised ATV steering on forest tracks.
We recommend a comfortable level of general fitness for a forest day that mixes canopy stations and trail riding. Bring a change of clothes, towel, bug repellent and biodegradable sunscreen; children must meet height and weight limits posted at harness fitting.
Canopy and ATV guides have worked these Sierra Madre foothills routes for more than twenty years with the same adventure pedigree as our bay boats. Harness fit and braking posture get personal attention before the long zipline opens, and equipment is checked daily at the base.
PADI five-star adventure standards extend to the mountain operation: convoy rules stay strict on dusty trails and bilingual leaders keep families and first-timers on a confident pace. Platform staff know how to sequence groups so mixed experience levels share the course safely without long idle gaps.
Check in at Paseo de las Palmas 39 or Mástil 13 for your departure city. Bring photo ID.
Allow extra time for traffic near marinas during busy holiday weeks.
Closed-toe shoes, shorts or trousers, change of clothes, towel, bug spray, sunscreen.
Guests aged eight and older are welcome with a responsible adult where required. You need closed-toe shoes, a firm grip for canopy lines, and comfort with heights on the Superman run and hanging bridges.
We recommend good general health and moderate fitness. Drivers on the ATV loop must meet operator age rules and hold a valid licence; passengers can ride without driving.
Mountain adventures start from Paseo de las Palmas 39 in Nuevo Vallarta or Mástil 13 in Puerto Vallarta, then shuttle to the private ranch base. Bring photo ID so staff can point you to the correct desk.
Arrive early in closed-toe shoes. Harness fitting happens before the uphill transfer, and hotel-zone traffic can slow the last stretch to either office.
Make your own way to the Nuevo Vallarta or Mástil office. Hotel collection is not part of this canopy and ATV day unless staff confirm a pickup for your hotel that morning.
Transport to and from the meeting point is your responsibility. Once you check in, shuttle transport to the ranch base is part of the programme.
Wear closed-toe shoes, secure athletic clothing and a shirt that will sit under a harness. Long hair should be tied back, and jewellery that can catch on cables stays at the hotel or in a locker.
Bring biodegradable sunscreen, insect repellent and a light layer for shaded forest platforms. Avoid flip-flops and loose dresses on both the zipline and the ATV block.
A light meal or snack is usually served at the mountain base during the day. If you have allergies, tell the check-in desk so the kitchen can steer you toward a suitable plate.
Do not rely on a large restaurant lunch. Eat a proper breakfast, carry water, and treat the base snack as a top-up between canopy and ATV blocks.
Plan about six hours from check-in through harness school, canopy lines, hanging bridges, the ATV loop and the shuttle back. Queue length at platforms can stretch the aerial block.
The ATV segment follows the ziplines on a typical day. Guides may reverse the order if rain or wind makes one station safer first.
Ziplines and ATVs need manageable wind and trail grip. If a storm sits on the ridge, guides may delay launches, skip a line, or hold the ATV loop for firmer ground.
Ask at check-in when afternoon rain is forecast. The team would rather pause a platform than send you down a wet Superman line without a clear run-out.
Optional photo packages are often offered at the ranch and are not part of the standard inclusions. You can skip them entirely and use your own camera where staff allow it on platforms.
Keep a card or pesos if you want a package after the last line. Gratuities for guides are also extra and entirely your choice.
Friends booking together stay on the same shuttle and canopy group whenever capacity allows. ATV seating depends on how many licensed drivers are in your party and how the ranch assigns machines.
If two of you want to share one ATV, say so at the briefing. Single riders and pairs are mixed so the convoy still moves as one unit on the trail.
No prior ATV experience is required. Guides cover throttle, braking, spacing and hand signals before the loop, and the convoy follows a lead vehicle rather than a free ride.
If you do not want to drive, ride as a passenger with a licensed driver. Tell the ranch team at the briefing so they do not hand you a machine you are not comfortable steering.

About the centre
Puerto Vallarta
For more than twenty years, teams on the Bahía de Banderas have been running boat days, jungle routes, and ocean activities for visitors who want more than a beach afternoon. Trips leave from the Puerto Vallarta area toward islands, hidden coves, and forest canopy lines, with bilingual guides handling safety briefings and the pace of the day.
You'll find PADI dive instructors, sailing crews, and adventure guides under one roof, which makes it easier to mix snorkelling mornings with ATV or zipline afternoons without juggling separate operators. Equipment checks, transport to launch points, and meal stops on longer tours are organised as part of the experience rather than left for you to arrange alone.
