A dedicated archery setup provides space to work on accuracy, distance control and consistency. Sessions are structured to support both first-time participants and those progressing towards independent range use.
Your session starts with a safety briefing and introduction to the equipment, including how to handle the bow correctly and how the range operates. Once complete, you’ll move onto the 100m open range where your instructor will guide you through your first shots and help you build steady technique.
Introduction sessions run for 90 minutes and focus on developing the ability to shoot safely and confidently without supervision. You’ll work through stance, aim, release and adjustment techniques, with time spent practising at different distances to build consistency.
Taster sessions offer a longer experience covering basic instruction and hands-on shooting across a more varied format. These are designed to give you a feel for archery as a discipline while still receiving full guidance throughout.
The archery range is set within the Leicestershire countryside and features a dedicated 100m open shooting area. This provides space to practise longer-distance shooting in a controlled and structured environment.
The site is easily accessible from Leicester and surrounding towns, making it convenient for both local visitors and those travelling in. The purpose-built layout supports a focused training environment away from general public activity.
No previous experience is needed, and all sessions are designed to support complete beginners as well as more experienced participants. Full instruction is provided before any shooting begins.
For under 18s attending an introduction session independently, an adult must remain on site throughout the session for supervision. This is required for safe participation and future independent use of the range.
A dedicated target sports facility provides a controlled environment where archery can be practised safely and at a steady pace. The 100m range allows participants to work on both short and long-distance shooting.
