This trip is pure madness — something truly unique. An experience that very few travellers will ever have the chance to live.
Because of the complexity of the logistics and the nature of the destinations involved, this is not a trip we will likely repeat many times. That’s exactly why it makes it so special. It’s the kind of journey that only happens when everything comes together in the right moment.
It’s also the reason we are one of the very few teams offering an experience like this.
Is it worth it? Absolutely.
If you’re looking for a normal ski holiday, this isn’t it. But if you want a real adventure — skiing in the Himalayas, celebrating Holi in India, and travelling through places most people only dream about — then this is your trip.
Don’t overthink it. Join something truly unforgettable. ❄️🌏
An adventure combining high-altitude skiing and snowboarding with India’s vibrant culture, this trip spans from the mountains of Gulmarg to the iconic Taj Mahal. Expect several full days on snow, powder-filled runs, and a chance to join in Holi Festival celebrations, creating an intense mix of sport and culture.
🗺️ What to Expect
Our adventure begins in New Delhi, where the group will meet at a centrally located hotel. Upon arrival, you’ll be picked up at the airport and transferred to the hotel so you can settle in before starting the journey.
In the afternoon we’ll head out to explore one of the most impressive landmarks in the city, the famous Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. After visiting the mosque, we’ll wander through the chaotic and fascinating streets of Chandni Chowk Bazaar, one of the oldest and most vibrant markets in the country. It’s the perfect introduction to the energy, colours, and intensity of India.
Early the following morning we fly north to Amritsar, the city of the Golden Temple. Once there, we’ll visit the spectacular Sikh temple complex, one of the most spiritual and peaceful places in the entire country. Later in the afternoon we will travel to the Wagah border to witness the famous daily border ceremony between India and Pakistan, a unique and theatrical event that attracts visitors from both countries.
As night falls, the celebration begins with the start of the Holi Festival, one of the most colourful and joyful festivals in the world.
On the third day of the trip we will continue celebrating Holi in the morning, experiencing the festival alongside locals as the streets fill with colours, music, and laughter. Later that day we fly to Srinagar, often referred to as the Venice of India because of its beautiful lakes and waterways.
From Srinagar we will travel to Gulmarg, located about 30 minutes by car from the ski slopes, where we will stay for the mountain portion of the trip.
Gulmarg is one of the wildest ski destinations on the planet and home to one of the highest ski lifts in the world, reaching elevations of over 4,000 metres. The terrain is vast, natural, and adventurous, making it a dream destination for skiers and snowboarders looking for something truly different.
We will spend four full days in the mountains attempting to ski or snowboard depending on conditions. Equipment rental is recommended directly at the resort for convenience.
Our goal will be to secure lift passes for the four days, although availability can sometimes be limited due to the large number of local visitors who come to Gulmarg simply to experience the snow.
For those looking for even more adventure, there are additional options such as hiring local mountain guides to descend from the top of the gondola above 4,000 metres, or even trying heli-skiing, which is considered one of the most affordable places in the world to experience it.
This is not a typical ski trip — it’s a true adventure, and we are looking for travellers with an adventurous spirit ready to experience one of the most unique ski destinations on Earth.
Transport to the hotel on the day of arrival is included.
Shared rooms divided by gender in hotels or family-run accommodations.
Ski or snowboard equipment rental.
The trips are designed around practical choices that prioritise experience over unnecessary extras. Shared apartments, houses, and occasional hotels keep accommodation costs realistic while creating a social group atmosphere. Cooking together, sharing cars where appropriate, and travelling in small groups allows costs to stay low without cutting corners on the quality of the experience.
Flexibility also plays a big role. In many destinations, travellers choose how many days they want to ski rather than paying for a fixed package that may not suit them. The focus is on travelling with people who enjoy outdoor sports, sharing resources sensibly, and keeping the trip accessible without compromising on time in the mountains.
No previous ski or snowboard experience is required. Many people join specifically to learn or improve, taking advantage of extended time on the snow and flexible schedules that allow steady progression without pressure. Beginners, intermediates, and confident skiers or riders can all find their rhythm within the group.
For those with more experience, local instructors and mountain guides are widely available for technical skiing, off-piste terrain, or freeride sessions. Most resorts also offer a wide range of alternative mountain activities, so there is always plenty to do beyond standard piste skiing.
Yes, non-skiers are welcome to join. The trips include sightseeing, food-focused experiences, and optional adventure activities that don’t require skiing or snowboarding. This makes it easy for partners to enjoy the destination in their own way while still being part of the group.
That said, a significant portion of each trip takes place in mountain environments. While there is plenty to enjoy away from the slopes, it’s worth keeping in mind that daily schedules often revolve around alpine locations and outdoor conditions.
Yes, every trip includes an international guide who speaks both Spanish and English. The guide is present from the first day through to the end of the trip, helping with logistics, group coordination, and day-to-day organisation.
Their role is to keep the trip running smoothly rather than control every moment. This balance ensures support is always available while still allowing travellers the freedom to enjoy the experience at their own pace.
Yes, the group is introduced in advance. Around one month before departure, a group chat is created to share practical information, coordinate flights if people wish to travel together, and answer any questions.
This early connection helps break the ice before arrival and allows everyone to feel prepared. It also makes the first day more relaxed, as most people already recognise names and travel plans.
Groups usually have a minimum of four people and a maximum of twenty. This size works well for group travel, making it easy to get to know each other without feeling crowded or anonymous.
It also allows the group to naturally split into smaller circles based on skiing level, daily plans, or rest days, while still sharing accommodation and social time together.
Accommodation is chosen to suit group travel and easy access to skiing. Most stays are in apartments or houses close to the lifts, making it simple to manage early starts and relaxed evenings. These setups also allow for shared breakfasts and dinners if the group wants to cook together.
In cities, mid-range hotels are typically used for comfort and convenience. Sleeping arrangements may include double beds, bunk beds, or sofa beds depending on the property, always prioritising practicality and location.
Several full days are allocated for skiing or snowboarding, with flexibility to adjust according to snow conditions and personal energy levels. Lift passes are purchased individually to allow travellers to decide on a daily basis how long and where to ride.
This approach ensures that participants can maximise mountain time while adapting to changing weather and terrain. Optional extra days in Srinagar are available for those seeking more snow or freer exploration.
Gulmarg is high altitude, with over 4,000 metres above sea level. Conditions vary from fresh powder to packed snow and can include both open alpine bowls and tree-lined runs. Slopes are less groomed than many European resorts, requiring attention to snow quality and terrain features.
Skiers and snowboarders need to be able to navigate variable conditions safely. The trip allows for daily route planning based on skill, snow conditions, and weather, ensuring enjoyment without compromising safety.
Most meals are eaten at local restaurants and are not included in the trip price. Participants can sample regional cuisine at their own pace, allowing for dietary preferences and flexibility. Group dining can be arranged spontaneously but is not compulsory.
This gives freedom to explore local food culture while maintaining focus on skiing, snowboarding and sightseeing.
