Feel the power of a high-performance jet boat as it accelerates, spins, and carves across the water in this compact 20-minute experience. This fast-paced ride is ideal for anyone who wants maximum excitement in a short time slot during their day in Malta. Hold on tight as the skipper puts the boat through its paces with rapid manoeuvres and sharp changes of direction.
As soon as the engine powers up, you’ll feel the jet boat surge away from the jetty and out towards open water. The jet drive system delivers strong acceleration and precise control, allowing the skipper to perform sharp turns, rapid stops, and energetic 360-degree spins. You can expect quick transitions from straight-line speed to sudden changes of direction that keep the whole boat engaged from the first minute to the last.
Across the 20-minute session, the skipper will link together a sequence of manoeuvres designed to maximise fun while staying within strict safety limits. Rapid slides, spray-filled turns, and quick bursts of speed are all part of the experience, with short pauses between sets of moves so you can catch your breath and enjoy the views around St Julian’s and St George’s Bay. Spray, wind, and plenty of laughter are all part of the ride as the boat works through its full range of handling.
The format is intentionally compact, giving you an intense dose of on-water action without taking up your whole day. With departures running hourly from late morning into the evening, it’s easy to fit the jet boat ride in around swimming, beach time, or exploring Malta’s coastline. You’ll step off the boat energised, a bit wet, and with a memorable highlight from your time in Malta.
This jet boat experience runs from St Julian’s on Malta’s northeast coast, a popular area known for its bays, coastal walks, and wide choice of cafés, bars, and restaurants. St George’s Bay provides a convenient launch point, with quick access to open water so you spend more time on high-speed manoeuvres and less time on slow harbour transits. It’s easy to reach by public transport, taxi, or on foot if you’re staying nearby.
The meeting point is the jetty behind the Verdi St. George’s Bay Marina Hotel at 8, Ix-Xatt Ta' San Ġorġ. When you arrive near the entrance to the hotel’s underground parking, you’ll see a black iron gate. Go through the gate, walk down the ramp, turn left, and follow the yellow line painted on the ground until you reach the jetty where the powerboats and jet skis are moored. This clear route makes it straightforward to find the boat, even if it’s your first time in the area.
This jet boat ride is best suited to guests in good general health who enjoy speed, movement, and being out on the water. It is not suitable for children under 12 years, people with mobility impairments or wheelchair users, or anyone with known heart or back problems. Pregnant guests must not take part, and the experience is not recommended for people who are prone to seasickness or motion sickness.
Adults over 65 years should only join if they are confident in their fitness and have no relevant medical issues. All participants must arrive sober and not under the influence of alcohol or drugs; anyone considered unfit to participate will be refused boarding for safety reasons. As this is a water-based activity, you should arrive prepared to get wet and dressed in suitable clothing.
This experience is built around pure performance on the water, using jet drive propulsion to deliver sharp handling and agile manoeuvres that standard propeller boats cannot match. The short 20-minute format makes it ideal if you want a concentrated burst of high-speed fun that fits easily into a busy holiday schedule. Regular departures throughout the day give you flexibility to choose a time that works around your plans in St Julian’s and the wider Malta area.
Safety and comfort are prioritised, with a clear pre-ride briefing, compulsory life jackets, and firm rules on remaining seated throughout the trip. The crew are used to working with mixed groups, from first-time visitors to experienced adventure seekers, and they focus on giving you a controlled, enjoyable, and memorable high-speed boat experience along one of Malta’s most popular stretches of coastline.
