Welcome to our paragliding centre with world-champion aerobatic flyer François, and the distinguished instructor, Loraine Humeau.
François, a globetrotter and passionate flyer, dedicates half of each year to pursuits that span expeditions, coaching, and film projects, all centered around his love for flying. When winter arrives, he transforms into a ski coach in the French Alps, but flying remains his true calling.
Loraine, a prodigy selected at 17 by the esteemed Fond-Romeu paragliding school, has spent six years competing globally, securing her place as a top ten female paraglider in 2017. Known for her versatility in flying styles and her tenure in Iquique since 2011, Loraine infuses every lesson with kindness and an infectious passion for the skies.
Our centre is in Iquique, Northern Chile, a paraglider's paradise boasting the world's most stable flying conditions. Its proximity to the Atacama Desert makes rain a rarity, and the predictable weather pattern ensures perfect paragliding conditions daily, with reliable thermals and gentle evening winds.
The topography of Iquique is a flyer's dream, offering obstacle-free landscapes that graduate from flat terrains to steep slopes, peaking at 1000 meters above sea level. Palo Buque, our primary flying site, is a haven of open space where take-offs and landings are as free as the breeze, unencumbered by trees, roads, or power lines.
Our centre prides itself on offering unparalleled efficiency in paragliding training and experience, allowing for continuous flight practice from dawn to dusk. Here, you'll find the ultimate balance of cost, airtime, energy, and skill enhancement, making our paragliding centre the optimal choice for anyone seeking to soar in the world of flying.
