Why not treat your loved one to a gift voucher? An Anglesey Boat Trips gift voucher is a way to treat someone to time on the water, whether it is a birthday, Father's Day, engagement, anniversary, a special occasion, or just because. Vouchers can be used towards any of our trips, and there is no need to pick a specific date.
Vouchers are flexible, giving the recipient the freedom to choose a trip that suits them. They can put it towards Puffin Island, with stops at Penmon Point lighthouse, the island and the seal colony, or the Bridges route under the Menai and Britannia Bridges. A private charter keeps the boat for their group, including an evening sunset cruise along the Menai Strait if they want it.
If the trip they want costs more than the voucher, they pay the difference when we confirm. Lifejackets, the safety brief, and the skipper come with the trip they take. Public trips take about an hour from Beaumaris Pier, and they should arrive 30 minutes before departure so we can check them in and fit lifejackets.
You'll leave from Beaumaris Pier, which puts you straight onto the Menai Strait and the Anglesey coast. Puffin Island sits out past Penmon, with seals, bird life and the lighthouse on the usual loop. The Bridges route stays on the Strait and passes under both crossings.
There is a large car park next to the pier. In winter, some departures run from Menai Bridge instead, and the recipient will see that in their confirmation if it applies to their date.
Anyone can buy a voucher. The person using it does not need boating experience. Children aged 4 and over are welcome on the trips, and children under 4 are not allowed on for safety reasons.
They should be happy sitting in an open boat for about an hour, with spray, wind and no shade. Unfortunately our trips are not suitable for dogs. If they are not dressed for the conditions they may not be allowed on board.
Our skippers are fully qualified and have been navigating these local waters for many years. The boats are Endeavour and Discovery, each with twin Mercury V8 300hp engines making 600hp, and both are coded to category 4 by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. We fit a lifejacket and run a safety brief before anyone leaves the pier.
A voucher lets them pick the trip they actually want, whether that is wildlife around the island, the view under both bridges, or the boat to themselves for a group or an evening on the Strait. From spotting puffins and seals to taking in the Anglesey coastline, it is a gift they will remember long after the day is over.
Trips start from Beaumaris Pier, Beaumaris, LL58 8BS. The recipient should head to the kiosk on the pier 30 minutes before departure so we can check them in and fit lifejackets.
There is a large car park next to the pier. In winter, trips occasionally run from Menai Bridge instead, and that will be in their confirmation if it applies.
Why not treat your loved one to a gift voucher? An Anglesey Boat Trips gift voucher can be used towards any of our trips, and there is no need to pick a specific date. Vouchers are flexible, giving the recipient the freedom to choose a trip that suits them.
When they are ready, they choose Puffin Island, the Bridges, or a private charter and we apply the voucher to that trip. If the trip costs more, they pay the difference when we confirm.
Vouchers can go towards any of our trips from Beaumaris Pier. That includes the hour to Puffin Island, the hour along the Menai Strait under the Menai and Britannia Bridges, or a private charter if they want the boat to themselves.
Evening sunset runs sit under private charter, so a voucher can go towards those as well when we have a boat and a skipper for that time. From spotting puffins and seals to taking in the Anglesey coastline, it is a gift they will remember long after the day is over.
Your confirmation shows the voucher value and the details the recipient needs to redeem it. They choose a trip once they have those details, then we apply the voucher to that date.
Usual public trip times are 11:00, 12:30 and 15:30 for Puffin Island, and 14:00 for the Bridges, though times can vary through the year. They should arrive at the kiosk on Beaumaris Pier 30 minutes before departure so we can check them in and fit lifejackets.
Anyone can buy a voucher. The trip they redeem it against has a minimum age of 4, and children under 4 are not allowed on for safety reasons.
Everyone on board should be happy sitting in an open boat for about an hour, with spray, wind and no shade. Unfortunately our trips are not suitable for dogs.
Yes. Buy it in your name and pass on the confirmation, or print the details for a card. The recipient only needs those details when they pick a date.
They can decide later whether they want wildlife around Puffin Island, the bridges on the Strait, or a private boat for friends, family, colleagues, a hen or stag do, or a wedding party.
Validity and any end date sit on the confirmation we send after purchase. We recommend they redeem in good time so they have a choice of trip times.
If you already have an older voucher, the terms issued when it was bought still apply, and those sit on that original confirmation.
Vouchers are not redeemable for cash. They can be used as full or part payment on a RIB trip, and they need to be used in one booking rather than split across several dates.
Once a voucher is issued, unused credit follows the wording on your confirmation. Read that confirmation before you buy so you know how refunds and unused value work.
Public trips usually start from Beaumaris Pier, Beaumaris, LL58 8BS. The recipient should come to the kiosk on the pier 30 minutes before departure so we can check them in and fit lifejackets.
There is a large car park next to the pier. In winter, some trips run from Menai Bridge instead, and that will be in their confirmation if it applies.
If we cannot run a trip because the weather is not right for the RIBs, we rearrange or talk through the next step, and the voucher stays with the recipient.
They should still dress for spray and wind on a fair day, because there is no shade on the boat and we will not board anyone who is not dressed for the conditions.
Endeavour and Discovery can carry up to 12 passengers each. Both have twin Mercury V8 300hp engines, making each boat 600hp, and both are coded to category 4 by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
A private charter keeps the boat for their group. If more than 12 people want to come, we can look at a second boat when we confirm the date.

The boattrip was amazing! We enjoyed every minute! Jason our captain told us a lot from the wildlife on Puffin Island. We really recommend this trip, it’s worth the money for sure.
Fantastic experience led by friendly, efficient and interesting people.
The instructor/guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable, and we had great fun on the boat
We loved our boat trip, water doughnuts and speeding along 50mph + was great fun. Our skipper was lovely, very knowledgeable and enthusiasm shone through. Want to come back and see the puffins next year... although this was my soul reason to book this trip it really did not disappoint…
The Rib Tour was amazing! Exhilarating ride on the rib combined with fascinating facts about the coastline and the birds on puffin island. Highly recommended, will be booking the bridges tour next.
Exhilarating but also really informative. A great experience all round and highly recommended
Brilliant! Loved when Jason put the RIB into ‘sports mode’. Perfect mix of adventure and information. Beautiful scenery, great morning in the water. Cheers guys.
What a great experience. Our skipper, Jason, was great. Good chat, very knowledgable and really pushed the boat. The boat is an impressive thing which really moves. Great experience! Will be back to do the other tour.
Excellent!
